Most people do not have a business. You have to spend 60K to get 3K in points. If you can spend 60K on a credit card then, why are you worrying about saving 3K for a vehicle that cost 140K?

We have 2 of the old 5% "World" GM cards with anniversary dates 6 mo. apart and over the years have redeemed nearly $25000 on new GM vehicles. I did save a few $ on my ZR1 too! The problem is the $500 earnings cap per year, but it does add up over time.

Slow down and read what you and I both wrote again. I put a lot of my business expenses on the card and then pay it off every month. I like cars and I buy new because one of my businesses is a used car lot and have lots of connections with GM dealers. I buy new cars for what most people pay for used. I think earning 5% is pretty good.

Mine is capped at $750 per year. So it would take me 4 years to have 3K in points.

I got my GM card in 2007 I think.. No limit but only certain vehicles qualify for $3000 discount.

There are different cards that were offered though the years...mine is a GM World Elite.
I don't have any caps and can earn 5% as fast as my wife can spend.
It's the best return on points that I have found anywhere....

Why would you put tens of thousands of dollars on a credit card that has a rewards cap under $1000? My card gives 1.5% cash back on everything and I get way more than $1000 back per year...

bottom line the OP is asking about current ZR1 deals. A GM credit card that provides GM credit towards a new car should not be considered a current ZR1 deal. As cool as that is lol

HTX....look at Citibank cashback, they do 2% on all purchases. I use that.

Since you ask I will tell you.. I have no cap on how much I get back. I get 5% back on everything. Currently I have a little over $6000 available. I'm going to use $3000 towards my ZR1 and then $3000 on the new Escalade when it comes out. In the mean time I have been using other cards to earn money back. There is no other card out there that gives you 5% back on everything. As far as it not being a discount goes I'm not sure what else you would call it. It's about being smart enough to learn about it. The ZR1's out there that are being sold under sticker are either used or BS ads. Trust me I'm in the car business and I did a lot of research before ordering mine. Oh, I will say that the new GM card is crap... Sorry this comment is for STXSkydiver..

I have no comments on the credit card portion but I did get my car under msrp and it was brand new. In fact it arrives tomorrow so not all ads are bs. You just have to check around. I had to go across the country to get that deal.

IMO the best deal on a ZR1 is getting one from a competant Corvette specialist you trust with a knowledgeable Corvette tech to do the PDI correctly and make sure the car has been checked over thoroughly before its delivered to you. This is not something to choose your dealer based on a low bid basis.

You are so right on this. There is a lot at stake buying one of these and so many things can go wrong during the process from ordering to pickup. After buying my GS from MacMulkin I doubt I will buy from anybody else. They had at least three ZR1ís in their showroom floor waiting for pickup. I would trust these guys with my ZR1 purchase any day.

I believe Stingray Chevrolet in Plant City, FL has a black/black ZR1. They sell at sticker.... They also have/had an orange one.

Simple. Because 3 grand, is 3 grand, is 3 grand.

People with lots of money that they earned, don't like to give it away unless prodded to. Or, they're at the final stage of life.

The black ZR is slightly used and has a few miles on it.
