What you say is abdolutely true but believe its also true for any Porsche or other make that “we mortals” can buy at or under MSRP. You usually have to pay up to have the privelege of being the only owner. Unless you personally know a cars previous owner, you risk buying something that has been beaten like a rented mule. That doesn’t matter to some people. If that’s the case, you will avoid the immediate “drive off the lot” drop in value. Buying cars is most often a costly proposition unless you have some connection to get limited production high demand models. An example is if you had bought an early 918 Porsche, you were promised a chance to buy any other later Porsche model. So those lucky folks that could cough up a $mil for the 918 are now getting GT2RS’s at MSRP I’m told. Good deal to have known that and have the $mil to spare on the 918. Lots of things were fortuitous to have known in advance. Cheers.

Do GT2RS guys have the same sour grapes, sweet lemons thing about the Senna?

Track last weekend. Casual GT2RS (and ACR) going unnoticed in the background.

Nope. The insecurity of some here and the “Porsche vs. Corvette” thread is exponentially higher than Rennlist.

Would that be the same "insecurity" that gave Porsche owners good reason to dump out of their precious 911s and go for a 350R Mustang?

Nope!

You’re reinforcing my point. The Rennlist GT350 thread shows how they appreciate cars other than the brand they currently own, the definition of a true car guy. You’ll note there are various threads discussing Camaro ZL1’s, Corvettes, Ferrari’s, McLarens, etc... all civil.

A loud minority of waxers here have to expend all their energy to defend the car they currently own at the expense of not being able to appreciate other cars, a true “Corvette guy”.

you’re defining insecurity as owning multiple cars. I’m defining insecurity as someone that is compelled to justify their decisions to people that don’t care.

Sorry to disappoint you and crash your psychoanalysis but I have owned Porsches, Camaros, SVT Mustangs, many Corvettes including (2) Z06s, and more. I get it and understand that the Porsche brand comes with mediocre to poor looks and totally unjustifiable price tag.

why would the gt2rs guys have sour grapes? Senna is like double the price of what a gt2rs is selling for. Also senna looks atrocious. If anything the senna guys should have sour grapes because mclaren is already cooking up something that will be faster, it will look a helluva lot better too.
