DOES THIS END THE DEBATE? Hahaha. I think it adds fuel to the fire. Some great cars there for the ZR1 to be in company with. I would have been happy for it just to be there, which it certainly deserves to be.

Haters? Build it, and they will come...
Haters? Let them come. The fortunate owners of ZR1's won't care
J.R. Hildebrand certainly enjoyed the ZR1. To quote: "the ZR1’s reactive chassis and menacing supercharger scream excite the senses at every curve." and "Goes to show that a good scream makes you forget about the data points."

I finally found the time to finish this long article which is outstanding and I suggest that all of you do the same but my biggest takeaway is that

Despite all of the naysayers (I won't name names lol), those of us that purchased the car (particularly early), have been rewarded just as we expected we would be. Does it have flaws? Of course it does. But, at this price point, we expect it to. Having said that, it's a magnificent engineering achievement. No other manufacturer has this recipe, nor would take on the challenge of building a comparable car in the same price range. Period. I can only hope the car is limited to a 2019 model year run. If so, it will remain in the family, and be parked next to the C8 ZR1 (or whatever it's going to be called).
Chevy engineer's if you're reading this...here's a tip of the cap from a very satisfied owner!

Absolutely what we owners have been saying all along. The car is truly more than the sum of its upgrades from a Z06–and it’s the car I find I currently take out more than any other car from my collection. Just a ton of fun—and fully deserving of the recognition that R&T gave it!! Kudos to GM!

It's nice to see an article written by adults for a change. I guess they didn't get the memo and strayed from the template. Thanks for posting.

I’m in tears that the underdog has made it to the top! Bravo GM, the ZR1 IS AMERICA’s only sports car/ super car slayer!

What an outstanding article. Hats off to the GM development team. What car is out there that can't be a little bit better in one way or the other? Including the ZR1. What we have here is a great compromise that ends up as one of the most impressive driver cars that has ever been mass produced. Kudos GM. Thanks Tadge.

I thought for sure it would be the Porsche, especially after reading the Vette was an A8.
Congrats to the Vette engineering team and GM for building a great almost afforable supercar.
The new Zora mid engine car will be their next almost afforable marvel.

Banned Scam/Spammer
It's so funny seeing people exclaim how great an article is when the results go the way they want and then trash articles that report an alternative opinion.

Traditionally, R/T usually has a German bias. That is what makes this PCOTY quite significant.
Essentially, they trash on the Automatic but the lesson here is despite the transmission, everything else makes up for it.
