“Extra” sticker made me laugh

I can see a mark up on cars that are hard to get, but not ridiculous ones like that. I have been looking for a ZR1 for myself and am willing to pay 5k over MSRP and I work at a dealership, but dealers seam to be going crazy with this. If I don't get one, I'll just get a C8 next year. No big deal.

baller’s that do this typically are not “top shelf” ballers. ballers don’t get to be top shelf ballers by indiscriminately pissing money away. Even if they are old and on their deathbeds.
Now they might Spend big on some old piece of **** milliondollar + Ferrari trying to time the market to make a buck.

Have had over a dozen cars 100% wrapped, Corvette's and euro cars, and it was NEVER near 10k, closer to half that amount. Over sticker for a Corvette, that will be the day I stop buying them

Lol their is an idiot born every day, O I must have it mentality no matter what the cost drives stuff up with many seeing their values crash When the hype goes away. Most of the high-end exotic dealers I work with do not mark up their cars higher than MSRP and charge reasonable prices for any add on”s.

“I just was quoted with a Black Friday Special, $5800 Xpel plus Ceramic Pro. My installer has done my previous 458, current 488, 14 Stingray and 17 ZO7. Like my 488, next month I will have a total wrap for the ZR1”
Had my C7 Z06 Coupe done with Xpel plus ceramic. Your quote is way over what you can get a great job done for.

there are installers who quoted me below $5000 and there are some of them who quoted me $6750-7500. So I picked somewhere in the middle. For something like this you should never go to the cheapest guy.

For something like this you don't go by quotes. You need to research the installer, look at their work, get references, see what types of cars they have been doing. It takes one inept person to cause a disaster.

2020 C8 of the Year Finalist - Unmodified
Once you move above 100K entry price forget making 25K of them a year. 150K is more like 7,000. 200k+ is like 3000.
Given how Corvettes do not hold their resale value very well (partly because GM seems to like to give huge discounts to move them out), the air is even more thinner at that altitude for someone willing to lay down the cash. Yes, people do buy McLarens and get killed in depreciation but its still a really small number.
All this points to the C7 staying a while and there are two models of Corvette-- with a third being its crossover SUV coming in 3 years and an all electric version fitting GM's new "electrification" direction.

If it should turn out that GM announces the ZR1 is limited to around 2000 units, it would not be surprising to see “market adjustments” become the rule rather than the exception on the last ones made. If the C7 is built along side the 8 for ‘20 and ‘21 with additional ZR1’s then not.. maybe discounting. its no different than any other supply/demand equation. My own OPINION is that GM is anxious to turn the page and FOCUS on the C8 once it is revealed, and continuing C7 production (especially the ZR1 variant) would only be a distraction. I think they’ve decided to put all their eggs in the “Frunk”.. haha.

I’m guessing like most on this forum the base up 10% all those who have to have the most HP will pay through the nose and the speed limits wont go up to match the performance. Get ready for the “self driving” AWD Hybrid !!!

They do. I have actually seen it done. The dealership has ten detailers, porters and service employees spit on the car and they rub it in with a "special" dual action microfiber buffer pad. Kinda like the old 70s-80s "Protector" paint sealant jobs dealers used to sell unwitting customers. You are so right. Just a dishonest pure profit scam by the dealership.

A 70K base, no options price for a C8 will never work and GM knows this fact far better than us guys yakking on a forum. Sure, they will get some guys to go for it but they are well beyond the sweet spot that currently exists for the volumes of annual sales that are necessary to sustain the models viability. Keep in mind that after a short post introduction period of time the sticker prices become almost meaningless and the discounts are applied until the units clear the market. The fools who are bent over with a $10,000 sucker tax and pay $1,500 for a wax job are out there but very few in number.

...made me laugh? I think the sticker is pretty freaking pathetic. Dealerships with ZERO integrity like that don't deserve our business.
