They are supposed to be better in standing water and heavy rain. We get that in Florida with a vengeance. If they don't work as advertised I will switch them out. The cups on the street down here are just asking for problems if you get caught in one of our "showers". I'm told the PS A/S hooks up good in the dry unless it is cooler than sweater weather. I'll post what I think about them here and on tire rack.

The Michelin engineer I spoke with at RA last summer said 4S (4th gen)is better in all respects to the MPSS( which is the 3rd gen tire)..a result mainly of rubber compound technoligy improvements, but still suggested I get them for steet/some track use with the ZR1. He said the difference would mainly show up at the tires limits. he thought sometime in 2019, the 4S would become available in the ZR1 sizes.

No doubt Rinaldo. I put a set of oversized MPSS's on my Z51. I really liked them even though they did affect the speedo etc by a couple of percent, They filled the wheel-wells better and tracked a lot better that the original run-flats. The first thing I noticed was that there was not as much understeer with them. I considered doing the same on the ZR but decided to at least start out with the factory sizes and then go from there.

IN for tire review. Loving the Cups here in Florida, but looking for something different for the cold North.

The new Shadow Gray has a bit more blue in it that the original and the Watkins Glen Gray was much grayer. I saw the new color on a Z06 at a dealer and it IS a bit different but that was only in one lighting environment. Cant wait to see her in the real world.
