GREAT combo. Congratulations! Orlando here as well. I'll keep an eye out for you. I've only seen one ZR1 around here on the street and it was a black on black coupe on Bumby and the 408.

Cant see the paint issue in those pics. Make them aware of it and maybe they will reimburse you for the correction. Great color and enjoy in good health.

And...its a whole lot better than my '14 Z51 was.
Maybe most of it out will come out by just buffing it good.. That will be my paint expert's call.

Pick mine up at the museum this Tuesday, Kevin. Same color. Looking at your pictures is getting me stoked! Only difference is I did the black calipers. I like the idea of the side marker blackout. I will do that, also.

Congrats on the new ride! It looks great.
When my friend's Camaro ZL1 showed up I thought there were imperfections in the paint. It was hard to see walking around the car, but when we drove around it in a circle it became more apparent and easier to show the paint guys. Your mileage may vary.
Also you may be interested in the rear wing lowering brackets from Weapon X. For around town, it makes getting into the trunk/hatch much easier.

I love the look on a dark colored car = BadAzz. And since the lights still come on at night it is DOT legal.
Pulling clips is the biggest part in getting to them. You may need a corvette wise "body and paint man" to get it done without scratching the paint. I make it part of the PDI but I'm not too sure how the folks at the factory/museum would take to doing something like that
Front wheel are orange/yellow, Rear wheel are red, and don't forget the two long red ones on the back clip either side of the license plate.
Make sure you use a lacker and not a paint. The more coats the darker it gets.

And the wing lowering brackets are on my list along with the rear CF clip and mirrors..
Thanks for the heads-up...

Actually - that is the raw paint. There is no wax or any other product on the paint (yet).
As the dealer was absolutely great to work with I figured the least I could do was leave it in their showroom over the weekend as they apparently have other Corvette customers that wanted to see Shadow Gray Metallic on an actual car as looking at the color on another GM product simply does not do it justice because they do not have the multiple reflective angels in the body that the Corvette has (especially the ZR).

What an awesome color. It all depends on where the light source is and at what angle it is reflecting. Blueish in direct sun light, or silver, light gray, dark gray and close to black again, depending on the reflective angle. The paint is way better than it was on my '14, but it still needs help. Look at the passenger door in the right rear photo and you can see vertical distortions. It is in the clear coat. So the first stop is for a wet sand and buff out. Then the Xpel.
The car is lowered as far as the factory adjustments would take it and realigned (it needed it after coming off the transport). And I had the bicycle reflectors on the side and rear "treated". They still reflect when you shine a light directly on them and the marker lights are visible Also the cups are replaced by SS3's.
What an amazing car with more personality than any Porsche or any other car I ever owned - Save maybe the Mangusta hahahaha. Completely BadAzz and worth the wait.

My previous C7 Z51 MRC was Cyber Gray and I loved it. Still do. That vette got adopted by forum member jbretthorton.
I was not happy that Cyber Gray had been dicontinued when I got around to ordering my ZR and settled on the new shadow gray without seeing the color on a C7 before I ordered.
Now that I have the car I am every bit as happy as I was with Cyber Gray and then some as the additional blue metal flake (shadow Gray has a little of this) adds an additional "personality" to the car as it has so many reflective angles, The amount of blue you see depends entirely on the reflected angle between the light source and your eyes, much like the silver is in Cyber Gray. So in this color you still get the silver, gray and black mix that you have in Cyber Gray with one more color - the light blue.
I'm not sure if I'd be as crazy as I am about it on a vehicle with mostly flat panels, a Silverado for example, but on the ZR it is a traveling light show.
