I agree with most here, have both! If can only do one: Quarter mile - Demon, 1/2 mile or turns - ZR1.

The Demon will keep its value, too!

I could of got a Demon with 150 miles on it right after I sold my 2016 Z06. I decided to order a ZR1 .. It's not because I'm a Chevy fan because I bought a 2018 TrackHawk about 5 months ago.. The Demon looks great and runs great but it's not a ZR1.. GET THE ZR1 man!!!!

Keep the Demon....rent a z06 for a week before you decide for sure lol...

The Demon is a one off car now for sure.....will always be special because of that alone not mentioning all the other pluses with that car.

For 2019, there is an option on the Hellcat (Redeye) that gives you the Demon engine (with minor drop in HP due to differences in the cold air induction in the hood). The Hellcat is tuned to be a better handler in turns. It is not as limited as the Demon and will not be a collectible as the Demon. Neither presents a challenge to the ZR1 in the handling department, though a 'hell' of a deal for the performance.

I have a hellcat, and had a demon until someone in Cali offered me much more than it was worth, now he has it. I just got one ZR1, my 13th Corvette, and this ZR1 is the best yet by FAR. I like my hellcat, it has many things done to it, I found my demon limited to what I could do with the car, yes it's fast but really didn't handle, red light to red light it was fun, and of course NOTHING fries the tires like the demon/hellcat, but you're not winning races while you're melting the tires, so I got a turbo s to solve that issue. I think you will like the ZR1, if you go that route, just remember the ZR1 is very small inside compared to a challenger, and you can still get a stick in the ZR1, something that you can not get in a demon or a red eye hellcat. Two way different cars, both are FUN

I'm another fan of your plate, pretty cool. Mine says YOUWISH and I've had it for approx. 37 years. I also think you will find the Corvette to be a much better street car. I have a friend that owns several Hellcats, a Demon, a Z06 and a newly acquired ZR1. Each car has it's betters, but all around street driving favors the Z06 and ZR1.

No I have a buddy in Daytona Beach Florida that bought one and his wife left him. I did see one in Indiana PA. with really low miles at AutoSport.

Can't speak for the Demon or ZR1 but I can tell you that my C7 GS is not a better street car than my Hellcat is. In many ways it isn't nearly as good, but in some ways it is better.

Love the Demon, But having Corvettes for almost 40 years I must say the Zr1 is over the top never been a Corvette like it. I have a 18 ZO6 also but this Zr1 feels Iike a different car go for it. Love your Demon also!!!!!

lt5 has the good blower setup and is about 800 lbs lighter with much better suspension and handling, braking than the demon

top end of the zr1 is higher too and I'd feel much more comfortable trying to plant 800 or so hp from the lt5 with the good intake

dodge will be a better drag car as it will 60 ft much better and et will crush the z but unless you want to drag race with the high octane and drag pack on the demon get the z

When I see the pics above of your car, it's just too cool to let go of, even for the ZR1. My heart goes "wow" and my head for a second wants to head for the hills when I see that black cat (Demon) prowling the street......

IMO the ZR1 is much better. The Demon is a one trick pony. It can only race in a straight line and handles like a boat. The ZR1 on the other hand, is insanely good in the corners but if you want to drag race it you can simply put drag tires on it, and it will put down respectable numbers. The ZR1 also looks much better IMO, the interior is nicer, etc. Plus its loaded with gorgeous carbon fiber inside and out. Also from a rarity standpoint, right now its looking like the ZR1 is going to be only a 2019 model year car. Yes, the Demon was also a one model year car (2018), however they built 3300. If the ZR1 is only built until March, they will not even hit 2500. I think they're getting close to 2000 made right now. Not to mention just the sheer low production numbers, but the C7 ZR1 is also likely the last FE Vette, as well as the last manual Vette. So, it's the ultimate FE Corvette and final FE Corvette.

Its anything but a one trick pony....no it won't turn as good as a zr1 but it will pull 1.1 turning left and right. 0 to 60 in 2.3 and will pull 1.8g's accelerating...which would cause you to **** your pants...

and me too.

I'll tell you what, check back in here when you pass a demon in your z, while driving on the street, that didn't let ya pass him.

I bet the demon will run 11's with five peeps in it too.

This -- Demon will be a better long term keeper. if the OP is inclined to change cars often, then do the ZR1. - flip the ZR after a year. and move on to something else.
