3ZR interior question
Hey all,
It's been forever since I've posted. I've been curious and haven't found an answer to this what seems to be, silly question.... yet it does bother me on a car of this price point.
Why doesn't the color stitching on a 3ZR option car not match the quilted headliner? Sebring orange packaged cars have the matching orange, but blue, red, etc get the default white/gray stitch.
I know you're not admiring it while driving.... but the small details like that speaks volumes. Any insight as always is appreciated.
Cheers!

I thought the same thing with black napa with blue stitching. But the orange package is an extra charge that I believe covers the extra step in making the headliner with the unique orange stitching. I forgot about the issue after driving the car about 10 miles.

My guess is inventory and configuration management. How many extra part #s would that require for the painted and carbon fiber tops?
Might I suggest a fine point Sharpie to color the threads?

All fantastic responses.... but I was looking for a more valid answer. Example, you can't have blue stitching on the adrenaline red interior, and god, why would you. No offense if that's your jam... But, I was hoping for a real reason why GM doesn't match colored stitching to all surfaces.
I totally understand cutting costs. Again, not a deal breaker, just an observation. I recieved my TPW today of 2/25. My excitement is returning after having my order in for a year.
If anyone really knows why this is, cool. I'm sure a few of us would like to know. High ✋

I just love the C7 interiors and that includes the level one, all fine quality with just the right amount of pizazz which is much in contrast to the tired old boring, Caspar Milktoast, looking interiors of the Porsche line and various other German

Yeah, red stitching on a headliner, forget about it. Corvettes aren't pimp rides.

I also think any 3LT or 3LZ Kalahari coupe interiors also get a Kalahari roof lining. Probably all production costs control.
I have a 3LZ Adrenaline Red interior which comes with the standard grey-ish roof liner. I thought about the Fabric Pen method to dye the stitching red, but decided to just leave as is.

The headliner part with orange stitching is 84502875
I took an orange fabric pen to the white stitching and it came out well, really muting the stitching.

Isn't there a vendor on here that will upgrade your headliner?

Try APSIS: if they can't do it, they can steer you to someone who can...
Good luck!
