About 50hp more than we saw with the LT4 make with a couple Garrett GT35s. Makes sense I suppose, same basic engine once you remove the blower.

That is the million dollar question. It doesn't take too much more HP over stock to get into the realm of rebuild/refresh every 50 hours or so. A nice exercise in getting the absolute most but for a very short period of time.

How is this relative to an LT5 in an actual car. Slapping on turbos and using a stand alone engine control system in a dyne cell is old news. I guess impressive to people who think a air tank is a significant mod. A 20 second google search shows same thing with an LS7 three years ago.
But, hey your katech...Must be very big news.
I know, I know it is for the LT5 crate guys...Like they are really lined up!
LOL

Rebuild schedule will depend on the type of use.

That being said, if everybody thinks this doesn't belong on the forum I can keep this kind of information to myself in the future.

I think it is relevant information to know how hard the limits can be pushed on stock components and will be applied to future modifications when/if tuning is cracked. For example when somebody asks if the stock crank/rods/pistons can handle 1000hp, I'm sure it will be pointed out that we exceeded that by almost 50%. Not to mention the LT4 components are nearly identical and it validates their durability.

Katech,
I encourage you to keep it coming, post whatever you want. However, posting on a public forum and posting youtube videos opens the door for people's opinions. Some will be negative. I just didn't think you accomplished anything big, let alone worth while.
Let's see some of your cutting edge technology at work. Leave the "let's see how much boost it will take before it blows" to Cleatus McFarland. Expected from an entertaining Youtube'r, but Katech, come on you can do better.
Ben's work and research is 1000 times more impressive.

now that the lsx and ls next blocks are all the rage, does anybody do 6 bolt conversions on alum blocks?
I'd like to get the 6 bolt "tabs" welded onto a stock block and then machine it with the thicker 4.8 liners
know anyone that could do that and not charge "superdeck" prices just need the 6 bolt conversion part done.
