I use common adhesive backed vinyl shelf liner that I buy at ACE Hardware. I have a template for my numbers in the required sizes depending on the sanctioning organization. Pick your type style and print and enlarge on your printer then transfer to a suitable material to make your templates out of. Easy to apply, stick like glue, and peel right off even after hot track days leaving no residue. Factory produced numbers get a bit pricey if you are peeling them off between events and re-applying.

Give a company called Solo Performance Specialties a call at 877-614-7656. They have reusable numbers that static cling to your car. They're vinyl stickers that come in all different size's and shapes.

I second the recommendation for https://www.trackdecals.com/, they are excellent, and have several options.

I use static cling vinyl cut with a Cricut. I've never had an issue with them coming off at speed.

I understand that a good coating of ceramic paint coat will not allow decals to stick very well. If your paint has not been treated you should be okay.
