I'm not familiar with the C3 ZR1. I tried a search, but it didn't produce any information. What year/years were they?

. Your VIN’s last 4 digits is your production number. but there were also a relatively small number of early GM owned cars used for development. Link is Registry. https://www.corvetteactioncenter.com...rvette-zr1.php

I believe it was a high performance small block engine option only 1970-72. A not often chosen option (I would suspect) because the then big block engine offered more power. So the ZR1 wasn’t the “King” in that gen. But the super small production numbers of it now make it quite valuable. https://www.google.com/search?source...j0._RM0dOHtKtQ

Geeez….. you must be just kids.....
The ZR-1 option package was available in 1970 (25 units produced), 1971 (8 units) and 1972 (20 units).
It included the LT-1 solid lifter small block 350 cubic inch V8. (I bet you didn't know that they even had a ZR-2 option that included a big block 454!)
Also in the package was the heavy duty M22 'rock crusher' 4 speed, and heavy duty brakes, cooling system, springs, shocks, steering and transistorized ignition. The fan shroud (if it was included) was a little thing so these cars would really heat up in normal traffic.
These cars were essentially 'TRACK' machines with basically a 20% price premium over the standard Corvette, hence, very few were built.
