Default What do you mean you won't insure my car!

Taking delivery tomorrow on #1923 only to find out my insurance carrier wouldn't accept my ZR1.
It's on the list of " restricted forget about it" vehicles.
After my insurance guy scrambled all afternoon to find someone else to take it, out of 17 carriers only 3 would take it.
The three prices were $14,000 $4,500. and $2,100......per year as a stand alone with no other vehicles or Home owners property involved.
I don't think that the $2,100 was too bad considering how bad it could have been.
The company was Hagerty classic car insurance in case anyone is interested.....

2100 sounds fair... state and city matter too .. AAA multi car for me was just under a grand/6mo last year... we’ll see what happens when I put it on the road again in a couple months. I’m not expecting a rate reduction. I think the car has been picked up on the ins co radar with all it’s expensive carbon fiber parts and uber horsepower.

The only catch was I have to hold the insurance for the whole year...no dropping down to Comp after 6 months....

State Farm currently charges me $52/month for my 2016 Z06. And, would charge me $71/month for a 2019 ZR1 (1ZR trim). State Farm has an online tool to get insurance quotes, if you are changing vehicles.

True, they won't let you put it in storage for the winter. Here in Michigan that wouldn't work for me.

Problem with companies like state farm is they will only give book value if car is totaled. And many won't give u anything for extra you put on, rims, exhaust etc.

Hagerty isn't bad but was it an agreed value plan?

I have Grundy for my 18' ZL1 & 19' ZR1 agreed value of 72k & 140k, pay $2800 yr. If either one is totaled, give u check for that value! (Like normal insurance and gap in one)

I have similar rates with State Farm as well. Excellent service and protection. 👍🏻

Check with the NCM Insurance Agency (Adam Boca). I have a policy with them for my C6 ZR1.

I just came back from State Farm.....A lot of you guys recommended them however they couldn't do much for me ....$3,100 for 6 months for my 4 vehicles (thats $6,200 per year). $4500 for the ZR1 as a stand alone. But maybe I should have
mentioned my 16 year old teen driver. Even though she will not be driving the car the insurance company didn't believe me........

If you have a terrible driving track record, are under 25, a crack smoker and live in a ghetto then your rates will reflect this.........otherwise try National Corvette Museum Insurance. http://ncminsurance.com/

You need to check with Adam at the Corvette Museum. I'm not sure what your driving record is, but my premium for the year on my 2019 ZR1 is less than a $1,000 a year. This is an agreed upon value of replacement of $130,000. I have 3 corvettes insured with them and my regular insurance company can't even come close to what I'm paying.

I have State Farm in Michigan and they want $2500/yr for my ZR1. 250K/500K $1000 deductible. I've found Citzens is cheaper at $1400 for the same coverage so I'm in the process of switching.
