Default What's the most fun in your ZR1?

Whats the most fun you have had with your ZR1 so far?

Mine only has 320 miles on it, between the bad rainy weather and my work schedule I haven't had much of a chance to drive it. For me, 300 of my miles were taking my daughter to a horse show in College Station, TX - it was a nice drive. Along the way the car attracted a lot of attention, especially from a blacked out Lamborghini Huracan who rode beside, in front, behind and then again alongside me for a ways...checking out my ZR1. I loved switching to track mode and making the car "hit that exhaust note" while the Huracan was behind me... I am still in break-in mode, but traffic was way to heavy to give it a try anyway.... my daughter thought that was something....

Bring it to COTA for an Edge Addicts event. I was there this past Sat and Sun, its always a BLAST. Well worth the cost IMO, thats what these cars were designed for!

While the car does many things well, I really like hearing the exhaust on paddle shifted decel. It's not as loud as my Z06,but the Z06 is heavily modified.

Lets add cold starts and just hammering it -for goose bumps

Add headers and an xpipe and i guarantee it will be louder! I can wake people in a 2 mile radius! (and love it)

28 miles into ownership so far most fun was a cruise with the top pulled off. So cool and quick and easy, such an awesome feature of the vettes. Otherwise, just hearing the exhaust so far, even at below 4500 RPM, lol.

So far having my son in the 72 we built and cruising around with them both ...and I love my ZR1 but if I had to pick one it would be tough. I believe the 72 is the better looking car.

I knew these cars were rare and I was gonna attract attention but just the amount of attention it attracts has definitely surprised me. I was filling up once and I had 4 different people tell me nice car, sweet ride and so on. I also went to our cities international auto show and I was basically surrounded by 4-6 people taking pictures and videos of the car in the middle of the street while I was looking for parking. It’s all been a great experience really. I only have 1100 kilometers, go to spring mountain next week August 3/4 and have 4 track days booked from April 23-may12! The excitement begins!

I've been installing the Vibrant Power 1792 mufflers on race cars. They are short enough to make a straight through exhaust, unlike the U-turn C5 mufflers or the offset C6 style

I couldn't stand it any longer, even though its winter and in the 40's here (I know, but that's cold for this Texas boy) I haven't driven my car in a couple of months. But today, the sun is shining, the birds are singing and the roads are dry. On the way in t0 work in the Z, in sport mode with the Cup 2s I hammered it at 80, and she broke loose and went about 15-20 degrees sideways, the nannies caught me, but wow that is impressive. Still smiling.

Beyond the pure driving enjoyment of my Z. Using up Spring Mountain's tires and brake rate the highest so far

A few years ago we helped manage the Hublot Diamond Rallye from Vancouver BC to Whistler for charity. Upon arrival, we went a few miles north and they shut down the airport at Pemberton and we did pulls on the tarmac, lining up with whatever was in line. Lambs, Ferrari's, GTRs, Bentleys, other Vettes, Vipers.

The most fun was beating my buddy with his C6ZR1 all 5 pulls with my C6 ZR1.

He went out and bought a C7 ZR1 ZTK A8
