No doubt! We had a great thread going and topic seemed to have been changed. I believe someone should have started a new thread. I'm still interested in what D Steck is going to be able to do with this ZR1.

It's equal parts annoying and sad; it's always the same one or two people that come in and ruin useful threads. And even using the "ignore" feature barely helps since you'll still see all their quotes posts. Hopefully we can move on now to discussing this fantastic news for ZR1 owners. And not ridiculous things with no bearing on the topic at hand. I mean if you have enough money you can drive a 300mph capable Ford GT to work in 2019, I think we'll be okay with a handful of 1000+hp ZR1s.

Can someone help me out, because I am ignorant... what is a "credit " and how does it apply here? (Is a credit basically the mechanism/code of allowing someone to access to change the program?)

its like HP tuners currency. You buy/get credits depending on what packages you buy from them initially, and then you can purchase more as you go.

The way it was explained to me:

-$50.00 a credit
-ZR1 needs 10 credits
-$500.00

The car has been sitting to be honest. We've been completely swamped in a crazy high demand for products lately, so we've been focused on fulfilling those. We are also moving into a new facility which requires a lot of work beforehand, so that's consuming a lot of time as well.

Flex fuel is being worked on. I've got prototype hardware for it. It isn't going to be a case of just pin the ECM and go. I really just need time to sit down with it and poke it with a stick (along with some potential help from HP Tuners if a custom OS patch is required).

Understand that. Looking forward to when you got time to get back on it. How are you guys doing with stocking the zr1 specific parts?

Intresting. Is the port injection control the cause of why it will be different than the other c7s, or just because the e99 is different? Do you think this will be complicated for others to add to their zr1s, once you finalize it?

We have 2.90 uppers in stock. Anything smaller is pretty aggressive. We stock ECMs too.

I’ll have the tensioner pulley prototype today.

Tensioner pulley for doing the overdrive crank pulley? Do you think the ecm will come down any in price anytime soon?

Saw an article discussing the ZR1 engine and it said the ECU wasn't capable of controlling 16 injectors so an add-on controller was used to control just the port injectors. Reason being it was too expensive to engineer a unique ECU capable of controlling 16 injectors for the ZR!'s limited run.

Yes, it is a replacement for the factory serpentine tensioner that prevents having to modify the stock plastic pulley. I can't comment on the ECM as that is solely up to HPT. I offer unlocked ECMs for $150 cheaper than they do simply because I get really good pricing on the ECMs from my dealership.

I'm a firm believer that trimming plastic in this case shouldn't be everyone's answer.
