Default WEAPON-X C7ZR1: 920whp/902wtq throwing flames on stock long block!

Sorry I’ve been MIA! Been so busy lately between the shop, racing, and another new venture, I’ve barely seen my kids!
We shipped 4 cars back out of state Friday and reset the CTS V3 LT4 boost record Saturday at 9.21 at 151!

The C7 ZR1 continues to amaze me with this factory 2650! We wanted to push the stock bottom end before we did heads/cam and we’ve hit 920whp/902wtq on the stock bottom end and the car is running fast at 115mph in the 8th and 146mph in the quarter! I’m .15 off my best 60’ running 9.68 in 2800 DA. So I really need to rent KilKare at this rate to lay it down. I’d like to see 1000whp on this, but feel like we’re approaching the air flow restrictions from the stock cam to do it safely.

- WEAPON-X Ported LT5 Supercharger
- WEAPON-X Griptec Pulley
- NW 112 TB
- WEAPON-X 112 Thermal TB Adapter
- WEAPON-X LT5 Thermal Lid Spacer
- WEAPON- X 5” Carbon Intake
- WEAPON-X LT Valve Covers
- WEAPON-X Catch Can Kit
- WEAPON-X Low Side Fuel Kit
- Circle D Triple Disc Converter
- Kooks 2” Headers
- Akrapovic Ti Exhaust
- Forgeline 18” Dragster Kit

Enjoy!

Fantastic numbers. How much boost? I see the upper and lower pulleys. Also, am I safe to assume its e85 by the nozzle and not a blend?

18-19psi now
Yes I was running the 25% upper only but changed to an upper and lower for an extra pound.
Yes full pump E without issue

Wow, amazing numbers! Surely this was with the tunable ECM?

If you look, there is a shift right after that, so it was already preparing the shift there as I the TUTD enabled with max shift speeds filled in so I can leave it in manual mode and it will still shift when I want it to and not bounce off the rev limiter
However, I do feel we're about maxed out with airflow on the stock camshaft as well. If you look at a lot of the stock cam dyno graphs, they're nosing over in that area.

Yes, I tuned the PCM, PIF, and TCM. I have port coming in smoothly, not the on/off switch that some are having trouble with, and the trans tune is killer.

I am assuming it’s e85 only without a tune change? Not flex fuel. No meth? The high side must be working hard!

Most likely a 12 rib cut down to 11 rib. Probably a K120858HD. (stock length is 86.02 or 2185mm)

Yes E85... well about E75 pump here. I need to get some ignite 114 in it.

High side is solid as a rock with injector m/s under 5.0 and DI line pressure at 20-21 MPA the whole way with fuel line pressure throughout the quarter mile pass is 65 PSI with our low side.

Congrats on the impressive gains!

What is a PIF?

What causes the flames to throw?

Would a little larger set of headers help out at these power levels like a 2 1/8

Port Injection Fuel controller, their piggyback version like our SPI kit basically

Shoot me a PM and I can put together a package for you. Recommendation depends on supporting mods

I've considered making this change myself, but 2" headers have carried us a long way. That being said, as long as the merge collectors are doing their job scavenging, the extra volume on this kind of power and heat will help cylinder temps

Why do you think this, there is no meth kit.

Just seems like a lot to ask of the high side without a cam and without meth. I suppose you have the port injection doing it's job.
