I bought my ZR1 with the Track Pack and was concerned if I would like the Cup 2 tires. About the time I ordered the car I ordered a set of Forgeline Wheels with Michelin Pilot Super Sports. I have to say so far I am loving the Cup 2 tires.

Well, the boxes arrived today.

I could not stand it - had to put them on.

D.

Used my new KaTech jacking pucks.

Used my new reverse logic lug guide tool.

D.

Shaved some weight off the car:

Each front wheel/tire combo - 4.5 lb
Each rear wheel/tire combo - 7.5 lb

Looks great!

How did you end up choosing the style? Based on availability, recommendation, preference for looks or spec. Stock offset? 3-piece wheels look outdated.

Who did you use to mount the tires? Did you get OEM tpms sensors?

Gerry shot me some different pics.

I wanted the same factory size. The offset is custom and the fit is awesome.

I ordered my ZR1 with carbon flash (black wheels) but I am mixed on them. I had black wheels on my Z06 also. I didn't want black and I didn't want chrome. This finish is a nice in between.

Wheels came ready to bolt on with TPMS sensors, tires mounted, etc. Not sure if they are OEM or not. They worked so, I think I am good.

Well, I am a sucker for a sale. 10% if you spend $200. I actually bough 10 of them I think. They are really slick. 10mm head to tighten them into position. I figured if they said 3 is minimum then more is better. Reality is pulling them off the most you can use is 4. I left one lug nut on and put the other 4 in place. Then I put the 5th on the lug to put the new wheels on. It might be total overkill but realize the rear wheel/tire combo is 66 lbs. I think these lug guides are cheap insurance to keep from messing up a rotor, etc.

I'll report back on Cup vs. SS as I get more miles. I was really impressed with the Cups. I am in Texas with warm weather so may not be a great comparison until it cools off.

Gerry makes this painless (except the money of course). New wheels, tires, sensor, etc. Mounted - ready to go.

I am sure I will be buying some more wheels/tires from Gerry.

Just a note on this front. I wanted the same size wheels so I could use the various stock tire options.

I thought I wanted the same offset but Gerry educated me on how the offsets may have to change depending on wheel, brakes, etc. The fit is perfect - they look great. Gerry is a real resource when it comes to wheels and tires, etc.
