Will it keep the NPP? Weigh less than stock? Add 20+ HP? Require a condom?

Will not be valved. With our patented 180 Technology in place, interior acoustics are taken care of and valves are forgotten about. Will have weights and power figures publishes as we get closer to the release, and... giggity.... giggity goo.

Glad I saw this... I was just getting ready to order an Akrapovic exhaust. I think I might wait to see how this turns out. How do you think it compares to Akrapovic???

Much more a richer, deeper tone, and also keeps a lot of money in your pocket. Not to mention we're manufactured in your home state

The valves aren’t so much for drone and interior acoustics, rather they alter the exhaust from loud, to very quiet. At least that’s how I hear/view them. :whoknows:

I have to say the only reason I haven't put the Akrapovic exhaust on already is because I love the way the stock exhaust crackles when I let off the gas. I put Akrapovic on my 13 and 16 and loved it. Really looking forward to see what you have to offer.. Where at in PA??

Same. I run catless 2" headers through stock mufflers and enjoy the fact that I can listen to my own car when it isn't disrupting anyone, then shut it up when I roll back into my neighborhood. Lol.

If I could design the perfect ZR1 exhaust:

Its valves would not flutter, it would be quieter in stealth mode than the factory mufflers, weighs less and is straight through when the valves are opened.

Capristo exhaust on my old R8 offered all of this, I paid for what I got! It was expensive... I enjoy my stealth mode, just giving my 2 cents. Always been a fan of AWE!

Agreed on the stealth mode. Very handy to preserve neighbor relations at 0-dark-thirty. I use it frequently when I leave really early.

We'll have our signature diamond black, along with our chrome silver.

True, but aside from the initial startup, it's really controlled by the right foot with throttle position.

Horsham, outside of Phila.

You can still creep around without valves. There's times where you can render the note nearly silent with throttle position. It's quite magical.

Just saying... sometimes I want idle to be loud, and sometimes I don't, regardless of accelerator pedal input.

Fair enough. I wouldn't deem idle as loud, necessarily, but it is indeed louder than stock.

NPP importance debate aside, I love the AWE I’ve heard on ZL1s and am looking forward to heard your system on a ZR1.

I agree, we have installed a few of them here already and the fit, finish, and sound were absolutely incredible. Having no experience with their brand prior in the GM market, we were all really surprised! That's why we jumped at the chance to be involved in their C7 roll out!

And the Black Chrome tips, sure are purrrrrrty!

and before you guys get on me about the dirty LOL take it easy, she's had her track shoes on for a few weeks now chasing some numbers, but Mother Nature decided that the heartland should see monsoon season for a few weeks as well.
