Video: C7 ZR1 vs Hellcat

We hooked some cameras and a mic to the exhaust of the ZR1 in this 1/2 mile drag race. Turned out great!

Here's another short one of the Z going against a Polaris Slingshot:

I would like to see that race with the new hellcat redeye. I still think the vette wins but wonder how much closer it would be.

It's basically a non-turbo Pontiac Solstice that's even less practical.

173hp / 166 lb-ft

Sure it's light, but that's not nearly enough to make up for the vast difference in power.

The slightly wider tires are 305/35/20 Pirelli P-Zeros. As for the hundred shot of spray comment, well it adds 100hp and usually 120-140 lb ft. The Redeye has 80 hp and 57 lb ft of torque over the stock 2019 Hellcat (717/650)

The Redeye is 4550 lbs 797hp/707tq. The ZR1 is 3600lbs with 755hp/755tq.

Dodge says 3.4 0-60 and 10.80@131

Chevy says 2.8 0-60 and 10.1@134

The Redeye would literally need a 100 shot spray to make up for the weight difference.

Couple of corrections above - I still think the extra 90 (not 80) will be a really close race. *** Update, you're correct, 2019 is 717 - sorry. Still think the 80 will make it close

Actually the new (2019) hellcat is 717hp. The older hellcats were 707.

I actually own a 2019 hellcat redeye. I was going to buy a new ZR1 but wasn't going to pay sticker for it and at the time I ordered my redeye all the dealers were at sticker or above for the ZR1. If when prices drop on the ZR1 I may trade the redeye for one.
We still have our 2011 ZR1 as well.

C7 ZR1 will literally and utterly blow off the doors of a Demon. What do you think will happen with a Red Eye?

Hey guys, OP here. Since we are on the topic of the Red Eye, can you guys help me out here? I'm pretty sure the car in the picture is a Red Eye, but I want to make sure it is that and not a Demon (I want to get the video title correct.) Thanks!
