How is the ZR1 pricing now after C8 announcement?
I got my 18 z06 that had a $90k MSRP for 10k under in jan of 2018. How is the pricing for ZR1 now? Any dealers offering massive discounts since a lot of people will jump over to the c8?

Some C7 ZR1 will be mainly track toys... some C7 ZR1’s will be garage queens.. some C7 ZR1’s (more than most would expect) will unfortunately be totalled.. and the rest of the 2500 or so sold in the US will be seen on rare occasion by people, many of whom will be wondering what the hell they are looking at. This will become even more the case a few years from now when there will have been 75,000+ C8’s sold. The following statement may seem highly unlikely to outright impossible to most readers: IMO the C7 ZR1 may not follow the normal Corvette depreciation model. The low number produced coupled with it being the highest hp front engine Corvette ever produced snd last year for the FE will make this car hold its value well. This is particularly true for the manual trans cars, as that trans says farewell too. Anyone thinking the C8’s introduction will cause C7 ZR1’s to become widely available discounted heavily will be terribly disappointed. Not that it matters. I’ve got 5000 miles on mine and the more miles I put on her the happier I’ll be.

There are no MASSIVE discounts no. There are a few out there for 2-3 under MSRP if you play your cards right. That's about it. Remember there are only 2800 or so of them on the planet.

Nobody has the ability to put an 8 in their garage tomorrow, next week or 5 months from now. In 6 months we may have an answer for you.

Dodge made around 3,000 Demons in the one year run, and the used ones today can be found online with asking prices higher than msrp even though redeye currently in production is very similar. Chevy made fewer ZR1's in their one year run , and thus as Tadge would say "Do the math" ! You can search ZR1's for sale on cars.com and autotrader.com to check current pricing. There is not much discounting today and thus my guess is the ZR1 will hold it's value well, but you should be getting more value out of owning and driving the car more than how little/much it appreciates/depreciates and or getting a $5k discount on a $135k car!

Got my 2017 Z06/Z07 for over 20k off sticker, needless to say I did NOT get that kind of discount on my ZR1, and it was STILL a good deal for the performance you get if you compare that to my Z06's.

I haven’t heard one C7 ZR1 owner say they bought the car because they believed it would hold value, let alone “as an investment”. Yet, going back to 1953, I would guess the number of Vette buyers who would have stated that as a buying motive to be less than .000001. Having said that, we all know that earlier gen Vettes of limited numbers and the highest horsepower have generally been the ones that demand the highest values. I don’t expect to live long enough to say: “I should have bought a second one and just parked her”... that’s irrelevant to me. The car is blast to drive and as a second benefit (to me anyway) I won’t be seeing 30 of them parked in Road America Corvette Corral at the IMSA race 2021... I expect to see about that many C8’s there by then.

Congrats on that - 40 miles is as close to new as you can get and good job on the price. That is the range they were going for off the dealers floor with their ADM.
Not saying there aren't folks that fit the "must have" market (with funds to match), but when I look online, I see a lot of the same ones still available (most are dealers, just a few private sales).
