Not sure it will for me. I'd miss that powerful V8 performance exhaust sound. There's nothing quite like it. Besides, how would one fake the engine sounds on an electric car?

I thought the popular opinion is that the Eray was going to be a hybrid (front drive) with the LT2 engine (rear drive). If that's the case it should sound just like the Stingray.

Based on data so far(purely speculative), it will .

If it were going to be a hybrid, I'd still take a pass. It will probably be more problematic as compared to a regular C8 would.

Of course not. If it's electric, it's souless and way too heavy like the tesla. If its hybrid, it will still be too heavy. For me, it's Z06 or bust.

I know I'm not the typical Corvette owner (or previous owner for that matter) but, the E-Ray is the only C8 I'm genuinely interested in. AWD, hybrid, V8, and DCT? Yeah, it should make for a fun vehicle. In stock form, I suspect it'll be quite quick. So long as the car doesn't gain too much weight and its handling characteristics don't suffer too much, I wouldn't mind getting one as a daily driver and then keeping my Audi for Fridays and weekends.

I've been saying this since day one. I truely believe the eRay will be the Zora. It's going to be so insanely fast and well handling it's going to be hard to top it with another model.
That being said, I still want the Z06 since I've always wanted a Z plus that FPC sound!

Had a few Tesla's, they were very nice cars, zero problems with them, very fast, BUT boring. Once they get the range up to over 600 miles in the snow I will be interested, need to get from one home to another without making a day out of the trip

Only reason why i didn't consider an ERAY, is because it won't have the LT6. Now if the ZR1 ends up having an LT6 with electric motors? Then man that's the ultimate C8.

I'm hoping most people won't want the ERay so that when it is available, I won't have to wait long for it. I can't wait until they reveal and have that bad *** available! I have already asked a few dealers if I could give them a deposit now to get on the list for the ERay but they won't take my money until it is revealed.

I could stop right now with my Z51 HTC and be satisfied. Anything beyond that are just refinements, but not a real game changer for me (not tracking). Still may keep my Z06 when I get it, but not committed. Some are simply junkies bored with their current high, and need a new vein to jab. 99% of the general public won’t be able to differentiate a stingray from a Z06, or a likely a future eRay anyway…

Interesting discussion, but keep in mind that the "E-Ray" is the next step in C8 development (incorporation of a battery-electric front drive system). The next C8 development step will be a twin-turbo LS-2 (or the 'ZR1' model). The final C8 development step will be the limited production 'Zora' incorporating the E-Ray's front electric drive system with the ZR1s twin-turbo LS-2 engine (approx. 1,000 hp combined system).
Without the E-Ray development, no Zora and the eventual C9 all-electric evolution from the current C8.

If its crazy stupid super fast ……..star TREK WARP SPEED MIND BLOWING FAST………like a FERRARI SF 90 1000hp fast……..sure a certain portion of enthusiasts will love it……..but C8Z06 will sound super and a 250 electric HP engine in a Z06 chassis might be the ULTImate hybrid- ZR1 / ZORA if it has a Z06 engine and the frunk has a 250hp/300hp electric front wheel drive power plant would be CRAZY COOL.
Who knows Tadge kicked *** with a 670HP Z06 WHEN we all assumed same old same old 2 valve pushrod engine. Me it only can get better- hope you agree.
good high class height tech issues for us car guys!!
