E-Ray MPG Question
Anybody purchasing the E-Ray should not be worrying about MPG.
The LT2 6.2 ltr in a 2022 Z51 that I owned, got a WHOPPING 23.7 MPG at an average 75.9 MPH over 367 miles.
And I know that the computer can be off a little, but after the fuel calculations, it was not off by more than 1 MPG.
But I do have a curiosity about the MPG. Anybody that has driven their E-Ray over more than 200 miles, did you do any MPG calculations?
BTW, the photo was done in Mexico

Yep have 800 miles. I keep track of mpg in a spreadsheet and record miles and gallons at every fill. Have done for my C7's, C8 and now E-Ray.
Can say the E-Ray, as GM states, is about the same as my 2020 C8 Z51. However, unlike your info that probably includes some Freeway type miles, mine does not. C8 Z51 seldom on a Freeway and E-Ray never. All back rural roads, mostly 50-to-60-mile round trips to town. Not a lot of traffic and enough stop signs, turns where I accelerate fast (for fun, why buy a Vette if not for that reason?) I also only drive in two modes, Z-Mode Power set to Track and MY Mode set to Sport (except NPP and brakes to Track.)
I get about 18 to 20 mpg. Now I do use the 655 hp, have already recorded 0 to 60 of 2.5 seconds. If you're not going to use the 160-battery hp coming mostly from saved otherwise wasted braking, and idling energy (I use Stop/Start and find it works great) then don't buy an E-Ray!
It does not have Prius type "better mpg software." The fast discharge/charge battery and programing are designed like an F1 race car that has used "Performance Hybrid Power" for ~10 years.
If you are not going to use the extra 160 hp that comes mostly from wasted braking and idling energy (I do use Stop/Start is very well done) than don't buy an E-Ray for better mpg. Compared to a C8 Z06 with about the same power but all ICE, it gets about 25% better EPA mpg. BUT about the same as a standard C8 Stingray! Dash Pic was at ~600 miles and without Launch Control as will wait until >1500 miles to use it.

ER is factory tuned to stay in V4 more than the SR, iirc. So with the right kind of driving, you might be able to eek out even more MPG--even though the factory rating is identical for both. It would be hard though. ER has additional weight to haul around. You'd really have to be tenderfooting it.

Reminded of the Mobil Economy Run that operated from 1936 to 1968. Was a Coast-to-Coast drive in mostly off the showroom floor cars. Always wondered why it stopped as when I started driving in ~1960 gas was only $0.25/gallon! But remember for non-prepared or instrumented cars, i.e no vacuum gauge allowed etc, the key advice was drive like you have a raw egg between your foot and the gas pedal. That fits today! Also no cruise control as that wastes gas! Best a stead throttle and when it goes up a hill just let it slow!
From what I have observed, even in MY Mode set to Sport, it's programed to keep the battery at about 80% charge. It is seldom lower than 60%. So it's NOT optimizing mpg, which would not be charging as much when costing, for example. Not sure with the car's programing just how much you could gain. Will be interesting to see what folks can achieve. In my case, I'm driving as usual, lots of fun acceleration so getting about the mpg I did on my 2020 C8 Z51.
