Default Mid Engine lives

I ran across these old pix of a mid engine Vette "V7 Twin Turbo".
Many of you have probably remember seeing them.
Hope this isn't a dupe, I searched and found nothing on it.

Gives you something new to look at until the next round of spy photos.

The engineering on that thing is freaking amazing. It's performance and fun to drive factor has got to be through the roof.

But holy cow that's ugly!

It's amazing how beautiful a '63 Vette is and how absolutely hideous that is.

Just shows how you can take a beautiful car, shift its proportions around a little bit and create a monstrosity.

Hmm, the folks worrying about the appearance make me chuckle! Bet they will be critical of the C8 no matter what the best GM designers can do!

"Form Follows Function!" It's a ME for performance, learn to like it!

Now doubt that obvious show car is NOT engineered to be a Porsche beater but it's cool for the Show circuit!

I have a number of ME's (albeit small.) My favorite "looking one" is a 1967 Ferrari P3/4. But it's not "Functional" for a street car! Just holds the driver!

I wonder if the car still exists and if so, who owns it. They should bring it to the reveal to show everybody how bad it could have been!

You got me curious, so I grabbed this photo and did some cut & paste, how about that little flyin' saucer?

It does look strange at first, but I find the more I look at it the more I like it, and now the FE starts looking odd to me, my whole perspective is messed up.

But just think where would we be today if they had gone ME back then like Zora wanted?
