Default 2017 Zora Corvette Unveiled at Detroit Auto Show?

So, who here believes the spy shots by car and driver and accompanying article is real? If so, do you believe, at long last, the mid-engine vette will be displayed at this years Detroit auto show? Chevy made a big surprise with the Z28 no one saw it coming at the auto show, will history repeat itself? IF this thing is for real, I believe it wouldn't be shown as an unveiling anywhere but the Detroit show, it wouldn't make any sense to do anywhere else. To me, if they show it as a 2017 model, it's coming. If it's a no show, I don't think we will ever see it. What are your thoughts... Personally, I HOPE IT IS COMING... If it does, I am saving money immediately, lol

That would give me a reason to go. Wonder what it would do to the used Z06 market?

If the Zora don't have any valve guide or over-heating issues.....it may be a winner. Haha

The Stingray is as deep into Corvettes that I'm willing to go. To much depreciation on your investment. When you store your car over the winter your new car now depreciates about $5,000. Definitely not like a collector car which might actually appreciate or at the very least hold the current value.

Who, in their right mind, buys a corvette as an investment? It's a toy to use and abuse, get it out of the garage and enjoy those 5k dollars in 5k miles of smiles!!!!

I'm pretty happy with the front engine version that we all currently get to have fun in. Mid-engine does nothing for me, but perhaps I'm in the minority...

Could this Caddy concept be the next Zora?

Looks more like a cadillac Zora than corvette.
Sorry reread the text and see it is a cadillac.

You have nailed it! And, since I have a friend who has a friend of a friend of a GM executive, I have two front row passes to the show! Please send me 10K in small denominations and I will send them to you.

Ya know while a few may be tired of folks talking about the subject of a Zora mid engine there are many that LIKE and are excited jest about the possibilities of one being made. While those of us that want to chat it up do so is it really needed that the ones that don't must post their displeasure about it? Like really, all they have to do is not open a zora or c8 thread right? Or better yet go read a Ford Mustang forum about the new race ford

That's the bet I'd make. Makes more sense having a $150,000 car sitting in a Cadillac showroom then next to a $15,000 Sonic.

I believe there will be a mid engined Vette and Caddy. 2018 Vette, Caddy layer. The mid engine Vette will be in addition to the C7.
