I think they could do it but why waste so many resources on such a low production car. It would be a money loser from the start. The styling shown in the photo would have to be improved on too. I don't see it happening at least as a Corvette.

A modern motor car is a very complex machine.
At least express a bit of encouragement and show some optimism that the engineers and designers will bust their asses to get it right - if the accountants ever approve the model in the first place.
Indeed! If Ford can build one so can GM! My good friend the mechanic and he swears behind General Motors and hates working on Fords 😆
We should all be promoting the idea of this car, are you kidding me? Even with some difficulties we still love our cars. The bottom line is this; Is the car enthusiast world better off with, or without this top notch supercar from the one American car co. that we all know and love?

The problem is Ford is building 500 cars vs GMs 35000 a year. When you build only 500 cars recalls and TSBs don't get noticed much. Fords car is not mass produced like GMs will be.

8 out of 10 GM products that I've owned in my life have given me superb service into the 300,000s (miles), and I'm hard on equipment. Get out of the 80s people. GMs manufacturing processes are galaxies ahead of what they used to be. The small block Chevy is the most versatile, most popular, and most reliable engine ever made and the turbo hydramatic transmission has not only been used in billions of GM cars, but chosen as the gearbox of choice for many other manufactures as well. The bean counters aren't in control anymore at GM and that's why GM is making some of the greatest cars that can compete with cars that cost a heck of a lot more. Comparing the Fieros' build quality to a new Vette, Caddie V, or the new Camaro shows how out of touch one is nowadays.

To all the haters, don't worry the new rear engine twin turbo corvette will have round tail lights.

I deleted my post. My phone tries to pull up threads that are related and that’s what happened. I didn’t even notice the old date. Hilarious! And my point has been made several times above. It’s Monday morning....

"Every week, over in the C6 Z06 section, someone posts about blowing their low mileage LS7."

Incredible exaggeration! I'm in that section nearly daily for years. And for those affected that haven't addressed their heads it's their own fault.
