Install a rain sensor like Mini and BMW employ. Senses rain, activates wiper and turns on headlights.

I'll add a couple more.

* Cargo areas that are lined in carpet, rather than easily scratched up plastic. Putting plastic in cargo areas has to be the dumbest idea of all time.

* Carpet on the lower area of the doors where your feet are likely to hit them getting in and out of the car. Cars used to have this, and it worked perfectly for eliminating scratches.

Michael

Put some legroom and headroom in the next version. Make it so that normal height (6'7") people like me can drive it.

And on the flip side of the coin...If I'm going to part with upwards of $100k, I want every gadget now available plus some stuff they haven't even thought of yet and a no compromise body style that not only appeals to the majority but WOW'S EVERYBODY with nobody complaining about how good the car looks except ______________(fill in the blank).

After owning a C5 Z06 and a C6Z06, I found that GM had designed me out for the C7. I agree that the C8 design should get the interior room back to C6 level. I am 6'-4" and 250 lbs, and in a C7, my shins hit the underside of the dash at the same time as the back of my head hits the roof. Make the inside large enough that I can wear my helmet. At 67 I still like to have some fun!

Keep the manual transmission and torque vectoring differential.
  • Reduce C8 weight below 3000# for the Z06. ME design should reduce polar moment of inertia. Shoot for 40% of the weight on the front wheels.
  • C8 Cooling capacity should be at least sufficient for HDPE duty without modification.
  • C8 Brakes should be sufficient for HDPE duty. Brake cooling should be sufficient as well, without modification. Brake cooling ducts that do not direct cooling air to the intake of the disk brakes are not acceptable.
  • Interior of the C7 was a great improvement. Keep it coming.
  • C8 should have tow points on the front and rear bumpers. Places to install threaded towing eye, which should also be provided.
  • C8 motor should not have built-in weak spots, ie valve guides which must be fixed and monitored by the owner to prevent hand-grenading of the engine.

At least have a plug available for a CD changer or other device in the rear compartment.

Steering wheel suspension controls including start button
Ability to select throttle by wire to react directly with the pedal
Tire temp monitoring
Active aero
Limited tech to maintain reliability
DOHC V8 with variable valve lift and timing with a focus on aesthetically pleasing engine design
A focus on reduced mass and a higher use of carbon based materials
A fixed roof/ultimate track option

Active front spoiler. It needs to retract up when driving through a deep dip in the road or over a speed bump.

Here's a feature I don't want to see. Some cars and trucks automatically turn off the thin decorative LED daytime lights that are next to the headlights or turn signal when the turn signal is activated. The driver doesn't notice, but onlookers do. The lights are fine, if it has something like that, just don't turn it off when using the turn signal.

Assuming it's rear mid-engine, I definitely want to see the engine on display like in a 360/430/458 etc.

NO BLACK WHEELS! I cannot stand blacked out wheels. This is a very popular trend and can't understand why. You look at a black car with a completely black wheel and all you see is is a big blob of black. Why is this so popular? I had GS wheels on my Z for awhile but these had a brushed lip to break up the black and that did look good for awhile.

Yes, install some actual leg room. At 6'7", I simply don't fit in the C7. C6 was cozy, C5 was perfect.

Oh, and round tail lights.

That's likely a regulatory requirement to assure the visibility of the turn signal.
