We know the Special Edition is the Carbon 65...65th Anniversary Edition. The C8 is not a 2018 Corvette. I wonder if this post should be in the C7 forum?

makes sense that any c7 edition including zr1 related threads should not be in the c8 forum.

also, the c8 and the midengine car might or might not be separate productions.

Agreed. And I would be willing to bet the farm that the ME is not the 8th Gen Corvette.

Will the tires on the base Stingray be the same tires as currently used on the Z51/Grand Sport. OR will the rubber compound be different, like the current base Stingray.

Although the 2014-17 base Stingray compound was different than the Z51 they were summer tires too. It's safe to say the 2018 base Stingray tires will now be the same as Z51. Grand Sport are larger of course.

*yes this belongs in C7 General
