Default Images of a manufacturer C7 I saw last night - Detroit

While driving home last night from work on I-94 just outside of Detroit, I passed this C7 with a manufacturer plate. I noticed two small "connectors" on either side of the exhaust system.

Any thoughts on what these could be?

Ports to sample a/f ratio pre-cats during testing.

Yep, those things definitely make it a C8! No, seriously, why is this posted in the C8 forum?

Because I thought it might have some relevance to the C8. Many GM cars are running around here in Detroit with next generation powertrains, etc. Now that the question has been answered, the thread can die.

Why do people say anything within 100 miles of Detroit is Detroit?

Because there is more than likely FUTURE Corvette powertrain hiding under the C7 body....

And if you wanted to speculate, one could make the case for the front engine Corvette continuing in the next generation....

Etc...

Or you could post it in the C8 section to waste bandwidth that we all pay so much for here on CF....

Well.......I saw the car at the I-94/Gratiot interchange in the city of DETROIT (not the Roseville exist). I noticed it was had a manufacturer plate as well as the protrusions next to the exhaust.

I tried to take a good shot while traveling through DETROIT but finally got one at Metro Parkway which is now in CLINTON TOWNSHIP.

Sorry for the confusion.

i'd like to know what point you are trying to make. is there any earthly teensy weensy difference about exactly, down to the last minute detail, where the picture was taken that has any bearing whatsoever on what the devices are?

the car has michigan manufacturer plates on it. doesn't that suffice?

There has been entirely too many C7 threads here on the C8 forum while C8 and Mid Engine threads continue to be initiated over on the C7. It is my understanding that Corvette Forums management will correct this by hiring United gate agents and security personnel from Chicago airports. You WILL comply or be physically dragged from your computer chair.
Have a nice day.

It has no rear spoiler. I'm one of the few that likes that.

no spoiler and no mascara showing on the rear fascia makes for a better looking car. faster, too, if going over 185 matters.

those look like circular capacitors which help put down force on the rear portion without having an ugly Spoiler

They're just sensors for the next gen flux capacitor.

I sure don't understand why some people think that a cheap looking, huge rear spoiler that looks like it came from JC Whitney, is attractive.
