C8 rendering
#22
Booooooooooooooooooooo!!!!!
I believe the yellow one would look dated the day it's released. The C7 already could use some updated styling. If C7 body parts are used on a mid-engine Vette, it would cheapen it. We don't want to go backwards in time with design do we?
You did put some time into that front grate of the yellow one. I wouldn't call that a grill. I like the three dimensionality of it. It reminds me of the waffle sub woofer covers that are used to cover speakers. I'm not sure if it works on a Corvette though. The organic aquatic trim around it definitely doesn't say Corvette to me at all. I think of a large mouth bass when I see it. It might work on another car. Sorry, I don't want to see it on a Corvette.

The yellow one has my vote, too.

The Lykan HyperSport converted to a Corvette is the first good rendering of a mid-engine Corvette I've seen from Chevrolet or a magazine. So I believe it might have helped. Almost certainly that's why it was posted here. And very likely why it was made in the first place. Too bad that design is already taken by another auto manufacturer already. But it's the Lykan car that makes the rendering look good. The things that are Corvette on there aren't good enough for a mid-engine Corvette. The headlights look too much like the C7. A new Corvette logo should be used. And the hood and nose is not very good.
The blue and silver sketch below is a modified sketch from GM that I found online of a front engine Corvette. I would give credit if I knew who drew it. The wheels and back-end and the bottom of the rocker panel are the same. I changed the door and added the side scoop to make it a mid-engine Corvette.

My very early, crude smudging thoughts about that. If you don't mind, old friend. Just let me know if you don't want me to do stuff like this, firstvettesoon. I do enjoy it though. These crude smudges are so bad, yet have the potential of being so good, I almost want to just leave it, just like this. Not everyone looking will be able to see its potential. Some might just see smudges and mottling. But then again, since this is the Bizzarro World Corvette Forum, where everything good is disliked and everything bad is liked (when it comes to C8 drawings), maybe people on here will like it. I don't expect anybody that comments on here to like anything I post here though. I might refine it and improve it anyway if I make time. The better it becomes the more people on here will pretend to hate it. We'll know when it becomes too good, they will start trashing it. For some reason they will feel threatened.
Sorry about that photo, C7. You're not very photogenic at that angle. You're definitely better looking in person.

Yellow version has my vote by a long-shot. In my opinion it would have the best reception among existing mid-engined sportscar owners.
I own a Ford GT, a Lambo Murcielago and a Ferrari 458 Italia - all mid-engined cars; plus my beloved 2015 Corvette Z06 vert in Laguna Blue.

Your cheap-looking 'renderings' keep getting worse with each iteration; enough is enough!

front clip on the yellow doesnt flow with the rest, too short..too something. Has possibilites;ditch the black plastics & (dated) 4 exh tips deal
Be nice if GM could actually design a tasteful wheel, pull the hubs in a little have some kind of depth or dish...Oh and dont paint it black
going out on a limb but perhaps offer an option of a color coded anodize
