Melting Slicks
I could care less where the engine is located. With that said I do care that there is room for my golf clubs and my wife as well as a couple of bags. We travel in our vettes and really enjoy the ride. Our friends with mid/rear engines all leave the fun car home and travel in their boring suv's.

Nice info, thanks.
If it is true, I wonder why would they start production in Jan 2019 but won't sell the cars until "before mid-2021".

Le Mans Master
hearing rumours of a tt v6 that will rival the build from the other camp
zora's dream is long overdue, as is retaking the FIA 24 hour record
I hope the next zr1 can average 203+ to whip some nardo buttocks and then go do it
It's on my bucket list, and when I talked to Graham at LPE he said
"just make sure the checks has enough zeros on it, like 6
gulp I don't have a million, but I think I know a few folks that light their cigars with that cash
I met a guy that knows Leno pretty well, I know the drivers from the previous run with the c4 zr1 (they are crazy like me and want to do it again if all is good)
so that's what I'm talking about. Make the car a world beater and then go the distance with it to prove
the old z did and it's high time the new one does the ring dance at nardo lapping at 210+
this time we'll "be smarter" about it and add some things that will help like a really big fuel tank, quick fill, ect.
so you guys talk storage, that's a factor as for this run, you have to drag any spares with. this is not a trivial effort. The VW "one off" car named nardo after the track, had the bug w engine normally aspirated to do some real world durability testing at the at nardo
vw really doesn't sound like they should be on top of gm for this little piece of paper belongs to ME!
the zr1 did 176 ave with a "factory engine" with the cats hacked off and a tune, good tires, and not much else except safety
in other words, a pretty stock car. The prior record holder was the Morton meteor that had an aircraft engine
this "record run" is run what ya brung and hope ya brung enuf
ford, Ferrari, lambo, pooch, all of em went there and failed.
sure they were fast, but not for the 24
and we're going the distance just like the song says
who's in??? I have some of the contacts but will need help.
but that's all I do, and in my retirement, I'll have the time to focus
now all I need is that check with all the zeros graham mentioned
and a new chevy, and a few crazy men. I think I can put them all together. This time, we won't use just one car!!!

In that case, you won't be caring much about future cars...
