I personally do not believe this is the 8th Gen Corvette per se. That's still to come and will be a front engine platform. I just think news sources use C8 so their articles come up when people are searching for C8 news online.

I can't help but chuckle each time I see or hear people say that GM isn't making a mid engine supercar

Several things I noticed. It appears the vent to supply air to the rear of the car is in the door and there is a duct to move that air to the rear quarter panels.

Also, that the transmission is behind the differential. There is also padding under the camo at the nose of the car to camouflage the cars outline. Also noticed that they had camo on the door's interior panels.

It looks like you can install a Jacuzzi tub in the back of this car...

I just can't wrap my head around a corvette with those proportions....if they don't make a front engine along side the rear engine car (and I don't think they will after the C7 ends production), the soul of corvette will never be the same.

We will have "corvette" but it won't be a corvette. Sort of like pointing at a dog and telling people it's a cat. I am both sad and excited at the same time and I don't know which way I am leaning...

I'm actually kind of disappointed that the doors open the standard way......

El Camino? Can't figure out what's going on here, hopefully it looks nothing like that rear.

All I'm saying, is now seeing a bit of the headlight outline and arch above the headlight through the camo, as well as the fender/bumper line, this photo posted earlier looks like they are potentially the front fenders in an early cnc prototype stage, not the rear quarters.

Love the new c8. The low front cowl and hood are going to be a game changer. Thanks for posting up.

Of course I hope the rear half of the vehicle is as tight and lean as the front half uncovered.

Hope it's a targa top as well.

World class and allows the camaro redesign to evolve into a four seat front engine slick vehicle as well. The retro look on the camaro is over and for sales of that model to further prosper the c8 needs to evolve into what we are beginning to see here.

Thanks again...wow!

Default Disappointed

IF IT IS! looks like they just extended the trunk to drop the engine in a C7. i guess i was sort of hyped up at the prospect of an entirely newversion of the corvette. so i guess i'm disappointed.

Appears that they are going for a minor design transition from the current C7 to the mid engine, hoping not to alienate to many of the faithful

Just moving the cockpit forward(and moving the engine rearward) while keeping the same basic C7 design signatures.

Have to laugh at some of the comments. Can't tell anything from the spy shots. I'm not worried at all. I'm sure the car is going to be mean as hell looking. The pricing is more what I'm concerned about. 150k+ and I'm out for a while
