16 Vettes and counting…..
I agree I think we looking at only the top section of front and rear facia.
Also the grey fender to the right of the painted facia looks to me to be a left front fender. Definitely not from the C7.
Seems were getting lots of leaked material in past week or so.
I think that these maybe intentional leaks from GM to drum up some excitement.
These photos where taking in what appears to be the new paint shop.
Don't think any employees with access would risk their job to post those photos on this forum? Possible got the nod from management to leak these photos.

GM got burned pretty bad with the C7 when Jalopnik had a very accurate drawing of the car (supposedly from actual photos) long before the reveal. I think they may be a bit paranoid with the new ME so I'll bet all of these photo ops are purposely leaked or staged.

While GM creates opportunities for photos to be taken of yet to be revealed future product, these two photos from inside the plant were not intentionally leaked or staged by GM.

Seems they may be having a slightly longer than normal ME hood in the design which I personally like better than the nose-less supercars out there. If done right this coule be really nice.

Hey man keep it coming. Anything to pass the time till this bad boy breaks cover. Otherwise it's like watching paint dry! Can't image how bad the wait will be once I actually get one ordered.!

Yeah...the wait is terrible. I do this to amuse myself and dream of what's to come...
That rear deck does come up high. I imagine the rear fenders have some cool lines and maybe tunnel to an active wing?

I think the tail is too long for the final production vehicle or at least I hope it's just a disguise

You guys are doing a great job keeping the information coming. This is a very entertaining and informative forum. I will do my part to share anything I come across. I'm probably crazy but I have already put down a good size deposit down on the ME. Now it may be 1 year 2 years, never who knows. Some information is better than none. So, you guys keep up the good work. Anything to keep the clock ticking till I get delivery!!! I have to believe that things will really heat up as we get closer to years end.

Well, ...the lights and exhaust pipes and bottom panels are there so unless they are really tricky I think that's it. When the c7 was in camo, we thought/hoped it was not final..but it was. Really can't tell the final form but the overall size and shape are pretty close I would say.

True, waiting for this car Iike watching paint dry. Besides my job, and the gym.... I live for this forum and the C8 updates! I still think it will debut in 2019 at Detroit. Give the ZR1 some time to digest. Anyone else planning to be first round buyers? I am, already contacted rick “corvette” at coughlin to put my name on the list! Hopefully after we order ours, it won’t be a year until delivery 🙁 since I am private selling my c7 for down payment and such. (I’m a young guy, so the bank let’s me drive these cars haha thank goodness for USAA!)
time for a workout then beer, cheers

If you look at the right upper corner you can see it's a fake finish almost styrofoam like through the black mesh...
The lights may be in there but the body work foam is protruding outward...
Of course who knows for sure but it does seem that way to me as I look on the iPad and expand the photo...
I'm sure hopeful it's about the same size and overall shape of the mclaren 675 spyder I feel in love with this weekend...($429 grand is ridiculous though)
I did like how the targa roof packaged in its roof off position.
Hopefully GM does the same thing otherwise that rear trunk could have to be large enough to store the targa roof...
If in fact the rear mid engine offers that ...which is mandatory for me to ever purchase..
Got to have roof off driving capability...

i do believer the exhaust pipes (and maybe even the panels surrounding it) on the mule will not be on the final C8. I believe those were just placed on the mule. I am sure corvette will somehow, ingeniously, will give us our familiar quad exhaust in the middle... but maybe more raised up the rear facia abit and not so low?

I also have money down to be in line and will order ASAP. I really hope you are wrong about the 2019 reveal. I think I will go crazy by then. Sold my old ride(2007 Porsche Turbo) to be ready to purchase the ME. Not have any speed in the garage is kill me! The forum is great to pass time while we wait. I really think things are going to heat up as we get closer to the end of the year. I do not think it is a coincidence that we are all the sudden starting to see all these more finished looking mules. The hype is building. Hopefully we are getting close!

Life is short If folks have the financial means the time to buy is now.
Folks talk about working out 1st year bugs. I purchased 1st year c6 Z06 no problems. 1st year C7 Z51 No Problems. Second year Zip C7 Z06 and rear different failed at 120 miles.
1st year cars have warranties so if there is an issue GM takes care of it.
I guess to each their own. I know my garage has an open spot for the Torch red rear mid engine 150k plus Corvette super car parked right next to my 16 Callaway SC757.
I already the 1st one reserved at my Chevrolet dealer.
I really hope we don't have a complete year to wait until Detroit 2019. That's too long and ruins some of the excitement in my opinion.
