VETTE-NV, you at least might be a real person even though you work for GM and they might be controlling what is posted on here under your account.
I'm in Vegas. You can meet me and prove to that other guy that I am a real person.
I'd like to go to the SEMA show. But of course not being in the industry, I can't get tickets. You could get me in. I have some wheel designs that would look great on your car. I could talk to some wheel manufacturers. Maybe some other aftermarket or custom people, also. Maybe I could meet a custom builder who has big enough ***** to build the greatest car the world has ever seen.
Yes, Detroit. But I guessed that months ago when you first started arguing with me. So are you a professional blogger or are you just up late?

We are just teasing you buddy! Just messing around having a little fun.
We all have dreams of things we would like to do.
Who know maybe you go get some formal training and one day you might be able to have an influence on some future car design.
We live in a great country where anything is possible.
I am living proof as I am just an average guy that has had a ton of success as a entrepreneur in the automotive business. I been lucky that my love of cars afforded me great opportunities in business.
So I never say never.

Formal training would be a waste of time. I already have the designs. They are drawn well enough. I've been working on them for years. Designs change some anyway when you get to the full scale stage. It wouldn't do any good to make them any "better" with formal training.

I have been in the car business 35 years. I and all of my 100 plus employees go through continuing annul training.
It's your attitude that you think you know enough when you have never worked in the automotive industry that will guarantee you will never succeed in bringing your ideas from paper to reality.
Everyone in the car business goes through annual training as required by manufacturera like GM to remain certified in sales, service , collision repairs and parts.
Anyway I was just trying to offer some advice from a guy with 35 year of experience in the automotive business.
Some guys just think they know it all then wonder why they have not gotten any closer to their goals after years of talking about them.
Good luck did you ever consider formal training may open doors to folks that can get things done?
Maybe you think you will just stumble across a design or marketing executive while have lunch at Mcdonalds?
Possible those other folks who do go through continuing training might know some fold in the car business. Nah your right getting better educated is a waste of time.
Kris what is it you do now for a living?

Do you understand that there are literally hundreds of steps between a drawing on paper to a full scale clay model.
Are you thinking you are just going from a drawing to a full scale clay model.
Not even remotely possible.

Somebody with enough money that wants the best car in the world could easily do it. You know how you do it? You hire people that know how to do it. I have the designs. You just hire people or contract out to companies to build it.
Or, it could be done without any money if the right people and the right companies are brought together. Companies that build specific parts would love to have their name on a car that is considered to be the best. They would do it for free just to have their name associated with it.
