Default No ME for me!

The plant was designed to produce around 2,000-2,400 NSX's annually, not 600 annually, a current sales show.

Who can say at this point if a mid engine Corvette might turn people off just as the new NSX has? It just also might be a dud.

I currently have three Corvettes. A fully restored 1956, an all original( including paint) 63,000 miles 1964 coupe, a C6 Z06 and a Mercedes as a daily driver.
I am currently driving my ninth Corvette since the first one which was a 1968 convertible. The current car is a 2008 4 LT base model with every option available for a 2008 Corvette (bought used with 24,000 miles three years ago, Now with 50,000 miles). It is an absolute pleasure to drive for this baby boomer and his wife on our lengthy road trips. We have had road trips of over 7000 miles in 5 weeks, another 5000 mile trip in 5 weeks and more recently about 1000 miles in 1 week. I don't think I would like to attempt this in a 750 hp, virtual race car equipped with a stiff track suspension. I would hope that if General Motors goes to a mid engine Corvette that is geared to the high-performance race crowd, that they would also keep the C7 model for a lengthy period of time for those of us to enjoy driving a high performance touring car at a reasonable price.

If the mid engine car is in fact the C8 and will replace the base Stingray I would expect it to start around $75K no more or they will kill the car dead.

No, I'm afraid not.
He reminds me of one of my cats...when something gets into his head, there is no getting it back out.

Should be much less than $110. ITS STILL A CHEVROLET. Besides I will wait a few years and buy a nice used one for half the price....

The early mid engine may be a pricey, high horsepower model that will be expensive, but at some point it will have to be affordable to retain typical Corvette buyers. Personally, I'm out at $110,000. I would like to see it under $100,000 or priced similar to their current cars.
I'm out at $100,000! Atleast that's what I'm saying now, but if it's just a gem of a car! I'll stretch $20,000

The manga ride shock system allows a nice ride and great handling....the days of stiff suspension in ultra high performance sports cars is over. Better to keep tires in contact with as many different road surfaces as possible.

Paid $72K for my new 2016 Z06 A8, added 56hp for less than $1K - hard to find many places to use the 700 plus hp. No contest in terms of bang for the buck in reading the comments here.
