I still don't understand the camo on the rear....

Finally we see one with the big air extractor in place on the new fender. It was missing in previous pictures, just a tall open hole there.

Maybe the camo on the rear is covering a standard Z06 rear fascia, but the production model will have a completely new design rear fascia, that will bolt up to the existing rear fenders, etc.
The aftermarket has a different rear fascia available, with round tail lights, that bolts right up to the existing rear fenders, etc. for the base Stingray.
GM could be doing the same, but hiding the change by putting an existing rear fascia on a bunch of cars that they know will end up all over the web.
By camo'ing an existing *** end off the C7 Z06, they are really throwing the spy shot viewers for a loop, as they will have a false idea of what the *** end of the production car will look like.

GM needs to consider introducing a rear defuser under the rear bumper to achieve the same aero functionality as this hideous rear wing. Just like what Porsche is currently doing with the wing-less 911 GT3 Touring, very clean and highly functional.

It works in tandem with a rear wing (see C7R and other racecars).

I'm no corvette expert or marketing guru but no corvette line has changed in only 5 years. The true C8 will be a mid engine super car probably costing in the $150,000 range. Hopefully it will have four round rear lights. All the camo on the front and rear is hype and bs.

Again, look at the current GTLM cars for guidance on the high-end of aero for Sportscars.

Yes, they really are terrible. I hate it when wheels get overdesigned and especially when they are directional.
If you think about it, the wheel are the only mechanical part of the car that you can see working when looking from outside the car. They should look functional. Form should follow function.
