I saw this article, too. I also hope that the real car will look this good.I think GM may be planning to offer a value-priced alternative to the exotic (and very cool) Ford GT.

That looks good, but would look great with a few minor changes to the nose of the car. But I would buy it if I had the cash.

I am betting the GM mid engine will not look that exotic.

If it looks like that, I won't have to worry about being able to afford one.

I think that looks more like an iteration of the Cien.

I hope it looks this good. The C7 is just behind the times.

The back half of the car screams Huracan or 488 to me. A quick glance without focusing on the front, the entire car looks like a Huracan.

That short overhang ***. Where are the mufflers going to be?

That long overhang on the front end. The approach angle is so low that you wouldn't be able to drive it on 90% of the streets.

By the time the design is changed so it is a functional automobile, it won't look anything like the sketch.
No need to let little things like reality get in the way of a good rendering!

Here we go again, this article like every other article from the mainstream car media, says that the C8 will be mid-engine and will run alongside the C7. According to this the mid-engine C8 will debut in 2018 and could start as low as $65k. Maybe the Zora version will be the Ford GT competitor?

On this forum those that seem to have some knowledge say this is fake news and the C8 will be a front engine continuation of C7. Someone is totally wrong. Will be fascinating to find out who it is. GM is doing a great job of keeping their plans secret this time around.

Huh? The C7 and its first cousin the Ferrari Superfast?

By the way, this rendering looks awesome--very sophisticated in the silver paint. I probably cannot afford it, but I wish I could.

The mid engine C8 will look nothing like the Automobile Mag rendering. And I mean nothing!

Yeah, that's my hope. For the Zora, I really want exotic mid-engine design and styling, and gull or scissor doors and hoping it is under 150. A good alternate is the BMW i8, which has all of that, but lacks a bit on power. Rumor has it the next edition of the i8 will have improved power.

Saw this too. I like most of it (except the louvered grill). It would be nice if it ends up looking this exotic, but I have my doubts.

Who cares about that rendering, this was the interesting part of the article, "while the Zora might offer a base price as low as $65,000 or as high as $95,000."

If truly doubt the Zora will be priced lower than the current Z06

I'm hoping it's under 150k because the choice will be Zora or used Huracan Performante

Maybe not the Cien but it does resemble the
Ciana to me. At least the rear quarters anyway

Agreed. I also think that Automobile proclaiming that it will be introduced in January is a bold statement. I hope it's true, although I have my doubts. Imagine the buzz if GM introduced the C7 ZR1 and the ME car at the same time.
