Go ZR1....that car is gonna be a well developed beast with all the bugs gone. Wait a couple yrs to get the ME, until it evolves a little.

I know there are changes some will like and some will not like.
The Corvette going mid engine is the end of an Icon. Hope they rename it.

Slowly reaching the point with all this that what gets produced, gets produced.

The freak outs over every lil thing has gone beyond ridiculous at this point and dragged out way too long.
I'm at the point let me know when something REAL that can be ordered by the public is released. How many times has the ZR MIDengine Zora whatever been pushed out ?

Exactly. Imho, GM is actually hurting things with this prolonged flirtation. Just build the damn thing already. I'm truly at the point of just keeping the C7 Z06. It runs just fine thank you.

I agree.
GM has milked this beyond the pale AND without releasing any actual details.

Well, nothing will be as bad as the wait for the NSX. Economy killed the first reinvent, then the near production ready concept was at NAIAS in 2013...took til just earlier this year to actually deliver one. I believe first deposits were taken in 2012!

I'll still be sticking firmly in the position that GM will not be replacing the FR car with MR only. FR and MR will be built from the same modular platform. You don't expand Bowling Green to near double, to simply build your next model, you expand it because you intend to produce more cars and add employees.

If all they wanted to do was build more C7's or C8's they would simply work a second shift. The plant was expanded because they now need to integrate two different chassis within the same building and have the build line share the paint shop, and portions of the line. This is all part of the vehicle modular tool kit they have talked about.

MR car is coming, but the FR isn't going anywhere.

I agree only makes sense to expand production capacity if there are 2 possible 3 vehicles being built at Bowling.

The 1st being a traditional Front Mid engine Gt
along side a rear mid engine Corvette & Cadillac.

My only hope is GM breaks from tradition and produces a top of the line performance mid rear engine model right out of the gate as opposed to starting with a base model followed a year later High performance model.

Being this is the 1st time GM will have a top of line Zr1 in production at the same time as the most technically advanced model maybe GM will offer the mid rear high performance Zora right out of the gate.

I really hope they use the Zora name for mid engine.

It's not only a nod to Zora contributions to Corvette history but also will be appreciated by life long Corvette enthusiasts.

Something like Zora 750-4. Zora to designate the rear mid engine 750 for HP and 4 for all wheel drive.

Does not hurt to dream of my wish list for the future Corvette!!!
