"The C5 is terrible, they ruined the Corvette! I love my C4"

"Without pop-ups it ain't a Corvette!!! The Corvette team has saved me money, I'll own my C5 till I die!"

"That's supposed to be a freakin Corvette?!? Glad I just got my discounted C6, guess I'll have to wait till the C8 comes out... if they don't screw it up too"

My C_ (insert your outgoing gen.#) was as good as they get, and these camo'd pictures prove the next one is gonna be junk!

Tough to judge totally from those shots but does look interesting almost like the early NSX in a way.

Keep in mind the car is in camo and may not be the final production version, but I think I am really going to like it. That said, I expect this to be more of a current NSX/Ford GT competitor so I am sure it will be pushing $200K. I will wait for the layman C8

That ll be my fourth new corvette...

Well done !

Wonder if a convertible is feasible? If not, hope they keep a C7 version going too.

To further spur speculation, did anyone else notice the Cadillac reference?

New spy photos show the much rumoured mid-engine C8 Corvette out in public for the first time. Not only were multiple C8s spotted in public, but it’s almost as if the Corvette team members wanted the cars to be seen by going through a McDonald’s drive-thru in Cadillac, MI.

I cannot see enough to tell much of anything, especially considering what's under the cover could be further camouflaged to hide or modify the silhouette . All I can tell is that as is it looks "bulky" to me.

I like the wheels.

Looks like the top comes off and there is a roll hoop behind the seats.

Wow.

Seriously?

They were driving through Cadillac Michigan, a popular place in the summer and probably on a long drive route. Used to spend summers there, no grand conspiracy. Most likely the person driving owns a summer home there as I expect a lot of people do.

I keep "seeing" this when I see those spy photos. Although the butt's a lot longer looking.

Surely you've read the many posts that say the ME is going to be a Cadillac, not a Corvette - right? I grew up in Michigan, one of my degrees in from a large university in Michigan. So yes, I am familiar with Cadillac, MI and many other places in MI in both the lower and upper peninsulas.

I'm just stirring the pot with the Cadillac reference.

Some additional pics I got from a friend the same day. These were taken in Ada, Michigan. There were also 2 C7's with Manufacturer plates following. Maybe testing some ZR1 parts in disguise of a plane Jane Stingray?
