Seriously? The car is camo'd with all sorts of Styrofoam under the black cover to give a different shape (look at the front wheel arch, for example). I have a C7 also, but to proclaim you can tell what the car is going to look like AND then make a case for buying a C7 instead of this car (which won't see production for quite some time....)
C'mon man

For those that THINK they can see through the camo, try this on for size.

And how it ended up looking (La Ferrari)

The car is going to be exotic, curvy, and yet subtle enough to call a corvette. These shots made my day! PEOPLE, there is soooo much foam padding and camo that you literally can't tell how it is truly going to look. They are good at covering it up! I.E. the laferrari above or the old C7 test shot of mule.

My C_ (insert your outgoing gen.#) was as good as they get, and these camo'd pictures prove the next one is gonna be junk!

man, I REALLY hope it doesn't come off looking like a cheap ferrari (wannabe). GM has to do something spectacular.

The wheel base on this thing looks massive....something is off....looks like the car is going to break in half at the B-pillar.

And I sincerely hope that the taillight treatment doesn't mimic the below...but it looks to me like it may...

Default Mid-Engine Corvette: Our Best Look Yet

Latest mid-engine Corvette spy shots show the supercar at a McDonald’s drive-thru. Could that foreshadow an “everyman” price?

The proportions still look off to me. Seems a good six inches should be removed from the back and the rear wheels need to be moved forward the same amount..

How many parts is it speculated to share with the FR C8?

See the LaFerrari camo'd mule in post #21. It looks ALL out of whack, and I think we can agree THAT car turned out OK!

I have total faith that when we see the final product, we will love it.

Its still a few years out, cant count on this being the final look. No, this will not be a Ford GT only level car. So long, front engine, hello old guy gnashing of teeth.

The proportions ARE off, its a camo'd pre production vehicle, what do you expect?

PS: Nice to have known you, manual trans.

Did you notice that there is another camo C8 in the background, parked next to the yellow C7. Gives more of a profile view. Too much back end.

The LaFerrari prototypes had some of the most effective camo ever used, those were the most ungainly looking things to ever roll on air filled rubber tires.
I think one thing that makes this mid-engine car so odd to some is its familiar looking roof, windshield, and side windows riding in the wrong place in relation to its wheels, and the rest of the body. All the parts, lines, and curves that'll tie everything together in proportions that make sense are VERY well hidden right now.

The C7 forum pre-intro and even before the first road tests was pretty much unbearable. It was just silly the things people were saying back then.

EDIT: Forgot about the C6 body in white pictures as well. "Its so ugly, the Corvette brand is ruined without popups. There's no way I'm getting rid of my C5 for that."

The front end reminds me of the last generation of the Firebird. And it does seem somewhat long, especially in the rear. But I think when they debut it I will like it.
