Best looking rendering I've seen yet
This was on Twitter today. Looks pretty good to me. They've even captured the new side view mirrors. Until the camo come off, no one outside of the design teams know what's really there. But this one makes the most sense I've seen yet.

Funny I was about to post the exact comment before I scrolled down and seen yours!
Great minds think alike. Lol.
I cant imagine they would copy the C7 design language. It's too late in model run. Even if the C8 front engine replacement is 3 year out for a total run of 8 years with C7 styling.
I love my 16 Callaway sc757 but I don't think the C7 nose looks right on this mid engine rendering.
Opposed styling from front be sharp edges to a rounded and more euro looking from the doors back.
I just wish GM would hurry up and show us the car.
Seems li I e plenty of folks on this forum are ready to open their wallets for the latest greatest Corvette.
Plenty of buyer at 100k to 150k. Heck yesterday I read a review on 18 GS conv. Sticker 94k
I would like to know what the Average Vett sells for.
I bought a 14 z51 74k next a 15 Z06 92k and finally a 16 Callaway Z06 z07 SC 757 110k plus 20k for Callaway package so at 130k out the door.
I know everyone keeps saying the Vett starts at 55k but I am willing to bet the average price is closer to 75k between Base Stingray Stingray z51 GS and Z06.
Maybe someone like Joec5 has the answer he seem to know just about everything there is to know when it comes to specs an a Corvette??
How about it Joe do you have that info??

I guess the two biggest things that caught my eye were the mirrors and that the cabin/roofline seemed to be spot on from the test cars that are out running around. The front that the artist applied is just a safe bet by going with the current styling.

They need a clean sheet of paper for the ME.
I just wish GM would hurry up and show us the car.
Hell, they haven't even revealed the C7 ZR1!!!!

Agree that the last 1/2 of the render looks okay. Front 1/2 should be a totally new design... at the very least as (if not more) aggressive as the C7/ZR1 test cars we've seen as of late.

From the A pillar to the back I think the rendering looks good and may be somewhat representative of what the ME may look like. From the A pillar forward it looks like a C7. Like others have stated, I can't see using current designs on the ME.

One piece of the rendering that didn't get much thought...even if GM were going to design the front to look similar to current C7, I can't fathom that they'd reuse the regular grill from the Stingray model.

That rendering with this front end 👍🏽 That would be very cool!

Since a Corvette ME is not evolutionary but revolutionary, GM needs to make that clear in their design language.
They need to communicate the ME is something entirely new, something excitingly so, a must-have in everyone's garage.
Seems a little too Lambo-ish to me...
