GM’s Mid-Engine Economy Car
#81
Melting Slicks
Many mid-engine autos made today are expensive (Ford GT, most Ferrari and Lamborghini), but why does mid-engine automatically equate to high price? Why is it assumed (by many) that the Corvette ME has to be expensive? If GM built a mid-engine economy car in the past (Pontiac Fiero), what dictates that any new Corvette ME Model HAS to be expensive? Is it simply that GM thinks the buying public expects a ME Corvette to be expensive, therefore it will be priced that way?
