Default Will the C8 Design Follow The Latest Trend?

Until now, we had the McLaren 720S having a hidden aero-tunnel in the bodywork. Today Ferrari also came out with its latest one-off (for Villa D'Este) and we see the same hidden aero feature again. Do you think there is any chance the C8 will adopt it as well?

Hidden sure looks way better to me. I personally don’t care for the new ZR-1 with the max aero package, It is still a street car it isn’t a race car.

I don’t know what specifics you are discussing yet I do believe the c8 will follow the beautiful trend toward underbody aerodynamics.

Ferrari is quite adept at this ...and I appreciate the more integrated appearance of underbody aerodyanamics and even the less drag inducing integrated body design of exterior panels that improve air flow and produce negative lift or downforce without huge rear wings like the viper ACR and c7 ZR1.

It’s more of a personal preference in sleek designs that don’t always SCREAM track attack in what is basically a street performance car.

Remember this picture? Check out the door! Always thought it is a hidden aero tunnel there

Couldn't have said better myself. I meant the hidden tunnel in the doors that are leading the air to the rear. When we have seen those spy pics there was a mild possibility that the C8 will have something like that also. However those people who have seen it did never confirm this.

Think this was discussed already, but my eyes see the cover forming an opening to the real scoop further back. In other words that it's not a tunnel in the door.

Love the car! Not a fan of the rear “window” but damn if the C8 looked anything close to this, WOW! It looks to me like a Lancia Stratos (one of my absolute favorites) all grown up.

That Ferrari is a beauty.

I’m not wild about the hidden intake.

I like a nice big intake that looks like it came off an F4 Phantom

I think the C8 was finalized before hidden intake so it will prob be visible which isn’t bad.

An uncluttered, old school design nicely done.

I'll be picking it up on Friday in Maranello.

Pretty awful for a Ferrari. Even worse if a Vette looked like that. Old.

Wait until you see the back before handing over the key

Ditto, on “no thanks” for the back of the car. Bet the owner is really happy however.

Are these Ferrari one offs built first and sold or are they custom designed and approved by a buyer before they are built?

I’d love to see the car without the louvers. I like the back end otherwise. But I agree with KITT. The car is utterly scrumptious. The “red” is just awesome.
GIVE ME THE GD KEYS!!!

As much as I love the ME Ferraris of recent years, I have to admit the thought of having an honest-to-goodness V12 NA Ferrari would be too much for me to pass up.

The latter.
They build to what the billionaire owner wants.

If you have already been a good customer of Ferrari (and remain in good standing) then you too can order your Ferrari with 1-off bodywork for merely triple the cost of the standard Ferrari it will be built on (or a bit more in some cases.)

Agreed ... its a cross between the 308 and the Stratos ... put a real rear window on it and ... wow!
