I think I can get this thread back on subject.

You can be con-victed of a crime.

You can not be con-victed in a civil case...but you can have strong con-victions and make con-cessions.

You can have civil con-versations.

Some posts like this can cause con-vultions.

You can become a con-vert to some other ideas.

You can drive a con-vertible...

there...we are back on track...

Speaking being “back on track,” seeing ME testing on track, would rev up our spirits.

How about we generate a list of observed known and identifiable components, technologies, and obvious configurations that we can glean from these leaked CAD views. That would get us back on track of what is important vs arguing civil vs criminal behavior.

I like focusing on what we have seen (as opposed to this becoming a never-ending list of “I wish” and “I wants” thread — which we already and separately have.

What We Have Seen:

Coil over shocks;
“Front axle lift system capability;

I don’t remember that, but everything matches perfectly. It’s all the real deal. Pay attention to the narrow area above the headlight and bonnet, and the fender creases in relation to the creases in the headlight. Then throw the fascia in the mix.

I'm not sure how supposed rear fenders would match up with headlights...

You can also see the lower tip of the fender where it'll meet the front fascia bellow the headlight.

So lets try to figure out the headlamp area a bit more?

If the assembly here is correct that would suggest that the headlamps are very narrow "slit-like" units? From the spy pic front views, the lamps are not TOO narrow.

Does the side marker LED unit which shows to be a separate unit, get covered by the headlamp lens?

I don't see a lot of space between the fender and the BLUE horseshoe shaped support to fit the headlamp lens.

How would this look in side and front view.?

Maybe someone with more automotive knowledge can help figure this out?

I am sure the CAD images are not exact and maybe a bit of finessing can solve the mystery?

He is mistaken, and that was before all the recent CAD leaks. Those ARE the front fenders. It is obvious from the two photos how the parts are the same in regards to matching up with the CAD headlight image.

You're getting there. Good job with the renders. Put together the images I posted above by adding the white front fenders with the red front fascia (they fit together perfectly) then the CAD headlight image falls right into place. The body crease in the fender continues through the top of the headlight, making what appears to be an eyelid in the CAD image. Keep in mind angles distort the actual presence of shapes. That red front fascia will most likely appear leaner as it will be tipped downward and viewed from above.

From the CAD and fascia leaks, you can put together the headlight in its entirety.

Also, look at the CERV III and Indy Corvette concepts for an indication of how the side intake will appear. Very similar to the leaked CAD underbody image where the orange body panel is apparent. Reminds me of the kink in the new Ford GT's scoop/buttress.

Has the question be examined of why a dealership would have these more than a year and half before the car's unveiling?

I don't think a dealership had them. It's more likely he knew someone who had access to them.

If you look at those fenders, they look really rough. It also looks like there's a piece of material that would be cut out for the headlight. It's possible those are some kind of tooling mold or something.

new nose.

There is evidence of the raised/sculpted angles leading to the front/center of the nose in the paint shop images so I left them in.

I also think there will be a need to get rid of a lot of air so there will prob be a version at least with hood vents. I chose to depict two side hood vents as an example. The center raised area on the spy pics may be fake...but may be real so I also kept the black vent at the rear of the hood. Can prob still fit an overnighter in the frunk. Should be at least as much room as the 458...which is a pretty good size. Will prob have more...because America!

As always, this is only a best guess impression of the car but the major lines, shapes and proportions line up.

The headlamps line up and are prob close in shape. May be even sharper.

Is it just me, or does anyone else see the center indentation on the ME front fascia image? Looks similar to the Ferrari FXX.

I love my C7, but the lines in the CADs and those fenders are all way too C7. It's like they just took the C7 design language and made a mid-engine car.
