The "letter from GM legal" is actually an email from Facebook that is not private in any way, shape or form.

Why is it classless ? GM sent it to jalopnik. It is now their property. It's not what I would call proprietary. Jalopnik can publish it just as you or I could. If anything, I think it's outright classless of GM to keep whining as it's evident the horse has bolted the pasture.

At worst I can't see this ending very well, and at best I'm just left confused.
Most auto mags are not posting anything about these CAD images out of respect for GM.
Tadge and Jim Mero voluntarily answer some of our questions in detail in the ask Tadge section and we continue thanking them.
It's been acknowledged that GM hates leaks like this because it undermines millions spent in development and their marketing plans, plus it could affect their sales and give competitors an edge
yet we let this thread continue and post more leaked pics about their upcoming model and we expect them to continue answering the Ask Tadge section lol.
I'm curious about the ME like the rest of us of course but I also want the brand to succeed.
Threads have been locked over much less.

Wrong. Negative feedback on a sponsor does not "disappear". We do, however, have a forum section specifically devoted to providing feedback (good or bad). Yes, threads get moved there from other sections (mainly the "generational" sections. Threads in Transactions Feedback are left open until both side have responded.
From one of the Sticky Threads in the Transactions Feedback section:
From one of the Sticky Threads in the Transactions Feedback section:
This “Transactions and Feedback” section comes as a result of suggestions from Corvetteforum users and is an effort to consolidate feedback – both positive and negative – in one spot where it will be easier to find.
You’ll note there is a sticky thread listing Forum members who are willing to inspect parts or Corvettes offered for sale in their area for other site users who are located too far away to make their own inspections. If you are willing to help others out in this manner, please post to the thread.
Another sticky thread is a consolidated listing of sellers and buyers other Forum members have had good experiences with.
Also note, however, the sticky threads on how to report an issue or a concern involving a transaction. This section will be a useful tool for Forum members trying to make a purchasing decision, but it cannot substitute for being careful and doing your research before sending someone money for parts. Most users of the site are fair and honest, but there are some people out there waiting to prey on us if we are not cautious.
Check this section for feedback. Do a search to see if there have been unresolved issues with a seller or buyer. Check out previous transactions involving the person you are interested in doing business with and contact others who have done business with them in the past.
One of the things you might find on your search is a thread posted from an unresolved dispute. Each party in the dispute is allowed to post their version of the facts. Corvetteforum isn’t in a position to determine whose “facts” are the “correct facts.” Use your best judgment in reviewing the dispute threads.

Now that that side issue has been fully covered (thanks Zymurgy), how about if we please return to one of the best ME threads ever, e.g., CAD drawings and what they might mean for the car.
Let’s us hope we get a Christmas morning CAD present(s), especially of one or more exterior panels.
Thank you.

Yeah, my highly modified N/A 600hp 08 Z06 is better than any C7 and even looks better. If there were a N/A 600hp 6 speed manual GS C7 that doesn't over heat, I'd be in. I fear the ME C8 won't measure up to my C6Z. I may have to keep it for another 10 years. Judging by my sketches made from spy info, the C8 looks dated. I won't buy a DCT or blown car.

For me I live the C6 Z06 body. I just hated the rental car interior. Just not suited for a 80k sports car.
In my opinion that the biggest difference to the C7 it's the interior quality that makes the C7 easy to justify spending 100k plus plus on a sports car.
When it comes to DCT I love the transmission in my 458 italia. Without a doubt best transmission and most fun to drive than any of the 12 plus Corvette I have had the pleasure of owning.
While the Ferrari has great transmission and is a blast to drive it still comes up short on amenities compared to the Corvette. Yes the material quality is a step above the Vette but the amenities fall far short of what GM offer us with the Corvette.
I hope the C8 upgrades the material quality and offer a world class DCT.
For those that say Ferrari or Lamborghini owners won't cross shop the Corvette I say I agree. But with a proper DCT and the traditional cost of ownership many guys would ad a Corvette to their stable. If there is the same leap in quality from the C6 to C7 in the C7 to C8 GM will have a Hugh winner on their hands.
Thank for taking the time to draw your sketchs. From what I can see the side intake is too rounded as I think it's more angular if that the right description.
Also I think the peaks that look similar to the C2 are not as sharp as depicted in your sketch.
Who know. I think we all.were hoping for a Xmas present from Zerv. in the former of a CAD of the body or good portion of the body.
Thank you again for the sketch it great fun to speculate on what's under the camo.
Merry Christmas to all best wishes for a sage and happy holiday season!!

Threads like this drive clicks, clicks drive ads, ads drive revenue.
This world is driven by one thing. Love of money. To think otherwise is naïve.

Merry Christmas. The info comes from the published CAD files and photos. Look closely at the intake. My lines don't show radii.
My car is gutted and a pure driver's car. $150 gs.
3 pedals require involvement with hard learned skills.
Why change it when it gives so much pleasure. Weighs 2900. Has air though. Hate leather seats.

Business is business, there is nothing about being kind. Tadge answers questions here because it's beneficial to him, not because it's nice.

Somebody had to say this during the Christmas holiday season..(kidding)
I'm sure this new c8 will have those who love it and then of course there will what seems like millions who hate it...
It'll be like round tail light debacle of 2014 a million times worse..
It's like waiting for the train wreck ...hahaha
