They match the CAD's drawings for the front fenders, not the [rear]quarter panels as stated on the photo you included.

Yes they are the front fenders. The photo is labeled incorrectly

Looks like the headlight to fender question is solved.

Love my C7 but this all looks WAY too C7. The headlight is basically The same but longer.

Based on the new images from ZERV (see bottom row second from left) I’m not sure these pictures are the front fenders?

once you realize that the rear of the headlight overlaps and sits on top of the front of the fender, then it is clear that the fender in the photo is probably the same as in the CAD. And also, the perspective is slightly different.

There's a few spots that resemble some of the lines but there's WAY too much distance between the wheel opening and the top to be a front fender for this car. They almost look like they'd fit a SUV.

it matches the CAD. If the CAD is genuine (likely) then this is the fender. Maybe you think this because you imagine the headlight is above this panel, but it overlaps with it. Also the perspective might be throwing you off. This panel isnt much different from a c7 panel. http://www.nocarnofun.com/wp-content...-side-view.jpg Since the view is kind of from above, i think the fender height looks taller, but it were a direct side view i think it would not look so tall.

Ahh hah! Didn’t see the indentation in the actual fender. Makes sense now.

I think we're definitely getting all-LED headlamps. I can't see a non-LED light fitting into that module.

It looks like the headlight shape protruding into the front fender is similar to how the taillights wrap around the side of the bumper Symmetry...I like it. Also, we see some hood in the latest pics provided.

C7 fender/headlight is the same... this is a stretched out C7 light with a little sharper point up front.

Not sure what you mean. The point I am trying to make is that the front headlights intersect the front fender with a shape that is consistent with the way the tail lights intersect the side of the rear bumper.

I can see the front trunk/storage area in an image. Where are you seeing any of the hood?

Sorry...I meant front trunk...forgive me, the engine has been up-front for 67 years...

Thank you ZERV

That "frunk" sure reminds me of a Lamborghini one. As long as it has enough room for some small groceries and beer, I will be okay! Sorry for all the corvette golfers, lol.

The headlight assembly does look similar to the C7, but what really interests me in not the shape of the housing but the structure, design, and layout of the LED bulbs... That is where the beauty comes in!

This is going to be a long couple months, especially after the excitement of C7Pimps post. Along with John Elegant, I too have my deposit in with Mike Furman.

Cheers

Indeed. The C8 will use front side mounted HEs.

That’s pretty cool...

So I assume lines will run to and from the front heat exchangers via the structural tunnel that runs through the floor pan. Maybe GM will use 14 heat exchangers on it and set a new record...
