You might find this interesting.Check out this guy's post at facebook. I couldn't get the link to attach. They have taken two ME prototypes off of the display at Bowling Green and shipped them out.

Here’s two pictures that says it all (thanks you AutoAficionado).
Was the move “coincidental;” is GM preparing to develop a video which they would show as “full screen background ME history” at next January’s ME reveal; did they want them for engineering reviews as to what Zora did when building them decades ago, or???
Are the moved ones now in GM’s Heritage Center, GM’s Warren Design Studio where the C8 ME was first assembled, going to be displayed in the lobby of GM’s headquarters building? Inquiring minds are curious.

I’m claiming “false alarm.”

When comparing cars I think you need to take in consideration many other factors as well instead of just being front, mid,& rear. I think you need to look at the total weight, center of gravity, & also location of the engine. Also when saying a "50/50" weight distribution you also have to consider the balance of the car is in constant change with burning off its fuel load. Then there's aero..

I like a little junk in the trunk.. Like a 45/55 weight distribution.. Little more weight over the rear wheel for acceleration and when your braking hard some of the weight shifts forward..

Zombie thread, boys.

Yep, looks like another "Related Threads" revival from the dead. So here is your PSA for the week.
1) Click on "User CP" on the red menu bar at the top of every page.
2) Select "EDIT OPTIONS."
3) Scroll down to the "RELATED THREADS" selection and click, "DISABLE."
If you do nothing, default option is to display what the forum software defines as "related threads" at the end of the thread you've selected, which are usually ancient, often not all that related, and appear at the end of a current thread. When you're scrolling to the end of your selected thread to post, you often don't realize you've entered a different "dead thread zone," and when post there, you revive dead threads.

It's legit.
I have more specifics that I'm dying to post (# of gears, specs, order details, etc), but posting anything more will potentially expose my source.
My personal and professional relationships are obviously more valuable to me than my rep on an internet forum.
Take it or leave, it's true regardless.

You better keep you trap shut my friend !! My brother who is the big shot engineer at the largest building where the transmissions are being built told me that he told you to keep your mouth shut !!
My brother the chief engineer at the building where the transmissions are built, told you NOT to post the secret info about the number of DTC transmissions GM ordered for the 2020 Corvette on any forum. So don't post it !!
My brother the engineer knows everything about the 2020 Corvette. He would kick your butt for posting what he told you, but he is busy changing some overhead bulbs and has to mop the entranceway later. My brother says watch your back !!
Some people like you with the big mouth wrongly call my brother a Janitor, but he is a big shot building engineer.

Funny thing about reading this old thread is all the "I know" guys were proven full of sh*t.. from the transmissions being ordered almost 2 years before the reveal date, to the reveal date being in Jan of 2019.

Would this be the same "source" who said that the Bowling Green plant was enlarged to accommodate the simultaneous production of FE C7s and ME C8s? Total nonsense and BS.

The poster was PM'ing me here because he knew I was a DCT supporter. I think he was trying to drum up support for his postings.

DCT vs Manual
I remember waiting for the debut of the SSR back in 2004...I was on the internet everyday looking for tidbits of info as they came out. I was even on the Chevy Launch site to see when the truck would finally come out...All the information that came out back then GM swore up and down that the SSR would be Automatic trans only.So I bought a 2004 in Ultraviolet...Of course months later you could buy a 2005/2006 SSR with a manual transmission and even a 6.2.l V8...so I agree GM may one day have a manual transmission option...

Apparently, the OP is credible, and is trusted by the right people.
He knew all the facts about the transmission, the projected first year sales numbers, and the MSRP of the C8 Corvette.
Almost like he's GM, or trusted by them.
Glad he shared what he knew 2 years ago.
I wonder why he didn't post more?
Hope he is invited back to serve some crow to all those who deserve it.
