C8 ME Are you IN?
Had my C2 (64) for over 37 years, purchased used with 27,000 miles 1971 for $2500. Sold it in 08 for enough to buy a 09. Kept the 09 for 4 years before being a bit board with it. I put $$ away and invested it hoping a ME would evolve. So finally it may happen and through good fortune the car will be built, and I'll have the cash to buy one.. Been waiting a while, I always thought it would happen...
A lot of negativism on this board about accepting the new ME style, there is always resistance to change, I'm undeterred..

very excited to see what happens with the ME.
If I can...I will own one as soon as able.

The FE is still a great all around sport-car. The best dream situation for me would be a C7 (c8) GS FE manual AND an ME auto (whatever it ends up being) with all the bells and whistles.

The FE is definitely still a great all around car. I could see a base FE, FE GS, ME Z06/ trim 1, FE Higher performance trim, then the top dog being ME Zora or whatever they call it. I really have no clue though which route this goes.

I am, but not the first year. With a brand new engine, new transmission, new chassis, new cooling requirements for track use and certainly new electronics and controls, there is a good chance for opportunities for the 2nd year or 3rd year ME to improve upon any 1st year bugs.

Just talking about this with a friend this morning. We have every faith the ME will look terrific, and while both of us are manual trans drivers, we would still buy a ME with a non-clutch-pedal transmission if intital reviews concluded the ME’s trans shifted smoothly, especially its avoiding the low RPM, low-speed clunkiness issue that some early non-clutch-pedal trans’ faced.
[We both have all but given up any remaining hope we will see a traditional manual trans on a ME.]

Depends on what it looks like and if it has enough luggage capacity for a cross country trip. Only have 17,000 miles on my C7, so I could stick with that.

I'm looking forward to it. I want a hi-po variant, which if they follow previous practice, probably won't show up until year 2 or 3 of production.
Seems like a long ways out, but it'll get here before we know it.

I'm on board but not if they are built in big numbers...and oh... if it has good performance and looks.

So, I casually mentioned to my wife that I would like to buy the C8 a year or two after it comes out. She angrily replied, "Well Buster, we're not trading the C7. I love that car!" I snidely answered, "I guess we are just going to have to own two Corvettes". She crosses her arms defiantly and says, "I guess we will".
I just love that woman...

There aren't any real truths known about the ME car at this point. While I am very interested, ask again about a year after the ME comes out.

I'm all in once the higher horse variant is produced. Still have my 65 that I bought in 71 for $1,500. Love my old Vettes, but the technology of these new Vettes is amazing. Exciting times.

-500 hp rear mid engine with a dct ..yeah I'm in!
I almost bought a Porsche or jaguar s/c v8 last year but after driving both on the same day...the corvette I own was more fun to drive so I bought neither.
After three new corvettes ,two being z51 s and one being a z06 I'm ready for a rear mid engine sports car...I want the really sharp turn in because it brings a new driving element to enjoy...front engine cars just don't turn in as sweet as a rear mid engine car..
As long as the roof comes off as a targa...I'm in! (Or a vert)
I'd be less apt if it was another front mid engine car...I have one already and no need to sell it..
