The front end is beveled more on the sides giving a slightly pointier front end.,(from the top down view) .otherwise I'd say it's pretty cool.

Keep up the good work..

I was able to straighten and flatten out the CAD images and assembly them roughly enough to get a decent idea of the overall shape and proportions of the car. I was also able to superimpose the headlamp assembly in place to discover the size of the headlamp. The front-on view is a best guess for now but should be relatively close. Of course some artistic license had to be take to fill in the blanks until we know more.

Let me know what you think.

Getting close. Take the Aria out of the side scoop near the rear wheel well.

Good job, glad to see you're continuing to evolve the render.

I'm not a fan of the ZR1-style splitter in the front view -- and it doesn't seem to match the actual contours of the nose. The side scoop is decidedly anti-Corvette too. It will be fun to see what the final rear end looks like.

If you are talking about the nose and scoop in the render directly above your message, that is taken directly from what is known about the car and is not really speculation. The main variance on the nose how pronounced to make the point on the nose. The black splitter is a bit big, there is one there but it flows more into the bottom bumper. On the scoops, those have been seen in many spy shots. The slit at the bottom that goes back toward the wheel well is a bit of artist's interpretation and is drawn from a concept car called the Aria, otherwise the scoops are spot on.

Thanks, The overall shapes and sizes are close. The final realization will be interesting to see and MUCH more exciting I am sure.!

The CAD image showing the side scoop shows the bottom edge being about mid wheel and something along the bottom line as shown by attachment holes.

Also you can see a substantial "bulge" in the center of the car for a coke-bottle shape.

What do you think?

Here is a new rendering based on the most current information and speculation. The overall stance, proportions and shape match the mule spy pics fairly well.

From the spy images it seems there is a larger more traditional structure in the nose area. The paint shop pics IMO show only an under-structure in the openings with the delta shaped buttresses. They seem too thin for and practical use. The top surface of the paint shop fascia shows similar curves and angles as the ZR1 hood so I followed the design thru. I opted to use similar details of the ZR1 such as the diffuser and hood exhaust port since they are race/test proven. I added a few cool looking top-fender louver vents for good measure.

The headlamps seem to line up similar to the C7 but look to be longer as shown and with the TRI bulb lamps. This design seems to account for the top most visible lamp from the side views. The side scoop, as seen in the spy and CAD images are approximately the correct size and shape while the final details are anyone's guess. I added a lower brake inlet as suggested above as well though the shape will likely be different and maybe similar to the C7 inlet.

Let me know what you think. Looking forward to more info and details!

Sadly, this looks incredibly accurate. GM would have better luck hiring Chris Bangle. The man responsible BMW atrocities such as the E90, E60, and E63 chassis.

Would GM test a Caddy ME against a C7?

Looks even bigger than the C7 unfortunately. Based off the mules, we may have the tallest mid engine car in the world, with off road capabilities shown by the Silverado sized wheel gaps. lol

If the mid engine Corvette looks like the ARIA which I highly doubt, then it looks better than anything to ever come out of Italy. The Aria down right breath taking! God! I love it!

Why cant they make it look like this??? WHY?!?!?

This is MikeG37s interpretation based on the tarp queen rolling around. I think this is real close

I wish it looked like this. This is probably the sickest car design I have ever seen...GM should hire whoever designed this...

I think what some of the renderings are missing is the trademark gills behind the front wheels. Would like to see more "Corvette Gills" in the renderings.

There's not a lot of room for gills given how narrow the fenders are in that area.

While it does look out of place, going to an ME configuration is going to require us to change a lot of our past reference points.

Forum member MikeG37 created and posted it. I just reposted. I think it will prove VERY accurate.
