Any convertible shots yet?
I feel like I've seen every shot of the mid-engine car in public.... Has anyone seen a shot of a convertible mid-engine yet?

Wouldn’t be surprised if the droptop is unveiled a year or two after the hardtop.

As far as the Vector/Callaway pictures, those are "Speedsters", not convertibles.....no provision for actual tops.

I do not know about the amount of the delay in releasing the convertible, but here is one source (the highly respected Don Sherman) indicating the convertible will be delayed.

I am surprised by Don Sherman....
The render is a photoshopped C7 (especially the rear). The Bowling Green painted rear fascia clearly shows the taillights curving around to the rear quarter panels. He mentions the continuation of composite leaf springs, while the Zerv CAD leaks clearly show coil overs. There are other issues with this article....he should have read Corvette Forum....

The fifth gen corvette arrived in and as. 1997 model. It wasn't until the 1998 model year was a corvette introduced.
I also believe the c4 released as a coupe as a 1984 model. Continued as a coupe only in 1985 although updated with tuned port injection and the z51 model has a slightly softer spring rates compared to the 1984 z51. It was with the introduction of the 1986 model year corvette that a convertible was introduced, along with ABS braking systems.
I don't know if the c8 will follow that past pattern. We will probably see convertible spy photos during 2018 if a convertible will be made available in the first year of sales.
If we don't see camouflaged spy shots of the convertible c8 in 2018 calendar year I'd suggest a second year introduction for the convertible c8 is more likely.

The C5 coupe was a late 1997 intro, so the while the convertible was intro'd as a 1998 model, the actual time difference was only 6 or 7 months.
