Amazing the impact of the inlet above the rear wheel breaking up that large surface acreage. This is very entertaining and I'm getting every penny's worth of fun I've paid you for your efforts.

Looking again at the various spy shots, especially today's, the difference in wheel size is quite noticeable, As someone else said it looks to be 2 inches at least. The overhangs seem to change noticeably as well which I'm hoping is just more padding in some of the covers.

Not sure if anyone else mentioned the wheel size but I think they should be smaller on the ME...or maybe the ME has to be bigger.?

I scaled the rendering off the 488 figuring it should be close enough...Note the side by side. same size wheels and overall size tho I did make the Corvette a bit longer.

There is a lot more space between the tires and the wheel well on the mules than on other MEs. Is this just for the mule/winter testing? Seems it should sit lower.

Are the 488 wheels larger than the c7? Interesting. The new spy images help in that there is an almost dead on side view with less distortion so I can re-scale the rendering.

Hoping for more details...

Always fun to speculate.

No inside info unfortunately... I like to try out different possible designs to see how it works. The "cut" lines and bevels don't exactly fit the actual spy shapes or descriptions.

I am wishing and hoping for more direction or comments on the side view...

After the new spy pics and video, I was able to pull an almost dead on side view of the ME so I am adjusting some proportions and lines to get closer.

Default zora Bumper #2?

So I noticed this test mule has a different style front bumper than the rendered ones floating around on here. So far were going off the Paint booth Leaked photos of the front & Rear bumper. maybe someone can figure this one out and Render this bumper. It may be a "Base Z51" or maybe a "Z06" trim level. who knows

We had discussed this discrepancy and apparent extra structure under the camo, but my renders have been following C7pimps "sneak peek" at the real car. I had made some renders of the front with c7-zr1 style nose and grill a while back.

here are adjusted versions after getting the almost dead on side view from the spy video. Needed to adjust the wheel size and base and some other body lines.

I sized it off the c7 z06 wheel size unless somebody knows something different.

I rendered the YELLOW ME as a "base" model. This mule is distinguished by the McD wheels and no rear spoiler.

The RED ME is distinguished by the BLACK wheels and spoiler seen in the spy photos...being such I assume it either the z06 equivalent or maybe the ZORA. As such I included the more radical rear fender top intakes.

No slam on fvs but I think the proportions are off. Frankly not an fan of the fenders. I think it needs to look sleeker than that.

Good or bad...Can't be "that" far off...from the mules anyway. Note the overlay.

Just going off C7pimps descriptions and spy images, but of course the feature details and ultimate "lines" of the car can be drastically different but C7 pimp said this is close.

...hope we get more news soon.

Default Design: reality vs what we want it to be

No disrespect intended. But IMHO, this thread is not about stripes or what we want or hope the ME will look like; it's about what it WILL look like given the best evidence as interpreted by FVS and his comrades.

My take: We're WAY PAST expressing what we hope for. It ain't gonna change now. I'm looking for the hardest core, most unsentimental take on what the hell this beast will look like. Then, we can argue about reality.

FVS can you use your editing skills and make a rendering of my drawings. Like you I started out with a 488. The only adjustments I made were was that I made the area behind the drivers window a painted panel instead of a window. Then made one air intake on the rear fender. It is a mix of a McLaren 12c and a Lamborghini Aventador. The base model has a smaller intake and narrower sides. The Z model has a larger intake with a inch wider wheel fenders.

Base model rendering.

Nice^^^

But remember that we are going off the details and info gleaned from the spy images, CAD images and C7pimps sneak peek of the real car so some of these ideas are not "accurate" to what we think we know...

Here is the drawing made by C7pimp and my sketch overlaid on the spy pic of the mule for positioning and scale.

Some things still don't jive completely. Hope to get more info soon.

Taking all the other comments and details into account I made this rendering which he said is "essentially" the car. I am sure it will look much better in real life...

I really like the yellow "base" car ... if it looks even remotely similar to that, I'm in ... (personally, I don't like the more radical fender intakes). Thanks for all your hard work FVS ...

I realize everyone is speculating about the mid engine Corvette but what makes some of you guys think the mid engine will have Z51 or Z06 variations?

FV, Great job on the evolution of the drawing, although I can’t imagine that the rear quarter intake is accurate. Just way too much space between it and the rear wheel-well.

Oh how I’ve missed you all. Especially you, Deb.
...you may be right about that...I will check again...

The exact shape is still something of a mystery...
