Nope! GM won’t make that mistake. Few on this board will consider 100k for a base model Vette. Z06 and I’m in! They’re fully aware they would kill the brand if they even hint at 100k. If a mid level trim base model sees 80k it will hurt sales. It’s gonna be 70k with 2LT or higher. Now, built with all the options I want, sure, I’ll give over 70k. Stripped down, nope!

Might as well be the New York Times. Fake news.

It was a typo. They printed C8 when they meant to type GT4 which is over $100K for a base car without options. $100K for a base C8 would just about be a 100% increase in price over a base C7.

Interesting if that's the case i'm out for sure. Has any one heard GM say if you can afford a C7 Stingray you will be able to afford the C8?? This was a very common statement repeated by GM brass pre production/launch of the C6 and C7.

GM officials already stated the base C8 will be around the same price as a C7 Grand Sport.

Strange... it's as if this has been discussed several hundred other times...
